One of North America's largest "living history attractions," Fort William Historical Park offers a re-creation of the North West Company's fur trading post and settlement. Here, you'll get a firsthand look back at the Canadian fur trade, as well an opportunity to explore historical buildings, visit an early Canadian farm and aboriginal camp. You'll even get to try your hand at paddling a voyageur-style canoe.

The cast of characters makes the experience even more authentic. Stop by the blacksmith's shop and be sure to also check out the period cooking demonstrations.
