We just got back and had a wonderful time! This resort is by far the best we have been to. All the staff is happy and very helpful. The customer service was impeccable!! Special shout out to Fredi, Guadalupe, and Limberth at Toscana. Emily at the Lobster house and Rachel took great care of us bringing drinks and food to us at the lazy river!! I did go to the spa, which was fine, but not worth the price. We will be back!!!
Another Fabulous Excellence Trip!

We think this was our 10th stay here but every visit is better than the last! (we have also been to Excellence Punta Cana El Carmen and Excellence Oyster Bay). To say we can't wait to go back is a serious understatement. This stay was 6 days, 5 nights in the Imperial Suite with Rooftop Terrace (8163). This is the same room as our wedding here in 2018. Where to start? How about with Andres?! One over-the-top feature of the Imperial Suite is a personal butler at your service. The concept seems a little stuffy but Andres made everything about our stay easier. From something as simple as a dinner reservation (although none are needed) to delivery of our Covid test results, Andres's mission is to go above and beyond. And he excels in every regard. One other over-the-top feature? A cocktail hour in our suite with a personal barman. Not just any barman, but Cesar! Cesar would be at home as a mixologist in the best bar in the US. His ability to tailor a martini to your personal preferences is beyond compare. His talents are also on display nightly at the Martini Bar! Andres and Cesar are two impressive faces of Excellence Playa Mujeres, but just two. EVERY staff member is friendly and helpful. From the the ladies at reception in the Excellence Club (who no doubt wondered why we couldn't figure out which way the door swung!) to the wait staff and housekeeping and room service. Poolside at Cielo with Moses as your server never disappoints! New this time for us was new Excellence Club Lounge and Magna Restaurant. Both are incredible. On our SECOND night in the Excellence Club Lounge, barman Jorge had my cocktail prepared BEFORE I made my way up to the bar! As I've said before, the service is incomparable. I've read some reviews complaining about this or that. I truly can't imagine having that experience here. EVERYONE there is eager to talk, serve, and make certain YOUR experience is the best it can be. The food and cocktails are tremendous no matter which restaurant or bar you choose (we have yet to eat at Basmati but promise to try it next time!). Really there are so many choices you'd have to be there a month to enjoy everything (did I mention room service?). Muchas Gracias Excellence Playa Mjueres! We'll be back soon! P. S. thanks to our old friend David who went out of his way to get us an unexpected last minute latte on our way out!
Amazing Vacation

I will start by listing all the employees that made an unforgettable impression or and my husband. Although, all employees were nice and accommodating, these individuals were people we got to know. Fredi, Guadalupe, and Limberth at Toscana! So welcoming and and awesome reason to get up early to go to breakfast while you’re on vacation. We looked forward to seeing them everyday. Anibal at Basmati, took extra extra good care of me to make sure my food allergies were accommodated. He made me feel safe and I had an enjoyable dining experience eating Indian food for the first time. Emily at Lobster House and The Grill knew our names and food allergies and remembered them the first day, such a sweet smiling face and caring person. Raquel, Raul, Jobe(muy guapo), and Hugo Cesar, made sure our drinks were always full. Remembered all our drinks and brought refills without us even asking. Raquel is the sweetest person, I will truly miss seeing her every day. Isabel, Monica and Sexy Dani, had awesome fun activities going daily. They made things fun, supplied good laughs and kept things running smoothly and organized. We will truly miss seeming them everyday, as well. Excellence PM has some completely awesome dedicated people working for them. They are the hardest workers we’ve ever seen. They all deserve pay raises! We will definitely be back next year, as you have left quite an impression on us that we don’t think will be matched anywhere else.

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon. We will return for many anniversaries. Upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne and the words "welcome home". We were immediately put at ease, knowing that we had chosen the right place to spend our honeymoon. We were escorted to our private check-in for the excellence club. We were offered drinks by the bartender immediately. Ivan escorted us to our room. He really set the tone on what would be the best week. Our two-story room never became boring. It was cleaned beyond expectations every day. Marlon, our beach concierge was exceptional all week. We cannot brag about him enough. Rubi, our beach waitress was nothing less! Andres, our room concierge provided assistance with every question that we had. He assisted with scheduling our spa treatment, dinner, and getting our luggage sent to the lobby to check out. He even came to our room when he went to the beach and did not see us, just to check in on us. Deigo and Jason were great bartenders. Every single server was unbelievable. The food was magnificent. The grounds were maintained like none other. The sanitization was very impressive. Do yourself a favor and book your trip today. We will be back.
The Best Week of 2020!!!

My husband and I stayed at EPM in November 2020, our 16th stay at an Excellence resort, (12 at EPM, 2 at ERC and 2 at EOB) and we already have 2 more trips booked. We were of course concerned about COVID, but once we arrived “home”, saw that beautiful lobby, and smelled that unique Excellence aroma, all worried melted away. The hotel has implemented strict procedures, everything was constantly cleaned, there are hand sanitizing stations everywhere, many loungers, tables and chairs have been removed so guests can socially distance. We felt absolutely safe the entire time. Jenny kept our room spotless every day, cleaning every surface, and we were greeted by towel animals after dinner in the evenings. We obviously love the Excellence product, but it’s the staff that keeps us coming back, you are totally pampered from the moment you walk in the door, they know what you want before you do. Talk to the staff, get to know them, they are all remarkable people with great stories to tell. Carolina and Nelson - just Wow! Thank you for everything. Pedro, Zuri, Vilma, so many more, what tremendous assets. Constantly checking on you to see if you need anything. They have arranged so many excellent diners for us and little surprises that show up in your room. Manuel amusing us all day along with Emiliano and Erick on the club beach, always busy, bringing clean towels, cleaning your sunglasses, making sure your glass is never empty, afternoon snacks, etc., and great to just talk to. Then there’s Martha and Henry at the Celio bar, even when you have pool and beach service, you have to go to Ceilo to say hi. And the servers, Hugo Caesar, Rubi and Juliana always take excellent care of us, never an empty glass, leads to afternoon naps..., David at Sol bar when my husband gets his daily pizza, Tona we found at Agave this trip and sampled a few shots of tequila, and so many, many, more. And of course there’s the amazing Cesar at the Martini bar, once you meet him you’ll never forget him, and he won’t forget your drink either, very interesting guy. The food - we’ve never had a bad meal. We don’t eat breakfast, and lunch is usually pizza. We did have lunch at lobster house a couple of times with Omar and Jose which was good. Toscana, my husband’s favorite, is always dinner for our first night, Agave is mine, but Chez, Magna, Spice, Basmati and Flavor Market are right behind, just ask your server to bring you something if you can’t decide. Sergio brought us a delicious dinner at Spice when we couldn't decide, so did Naomi and Basmati, all yummy. On our last night we had dinner at Chez and the Excellence fairy arranged a beautifully decorated table outside on the patio that was very private and romantic. We don’t order dessert but it inevitably shows up a few times a week, but the dessert we were served at Chez - OMG - I wish we would have taken a picture but we were too amazed just looking at it. It was a giant chocolate lotus flower that Antonio poured hot chocolate over and it bloomed right before your eyes. Beautiful and filled with more deliciousness. We’ll be back home tomorrow!
