Grand Park Royal Cozumel

For the money, this place was incredible! Very nice staff and beautiful views from the rooms. My wife and I were looking for things to do, and Faustimo (concierge) and his staff were very helpful. He tried to get us to do a timeshare presentation, but when we explained we already had one and weren't interested, he was still very nice and informative. They called us by name and smiled each day. Over the top service compared to how cheap everything was!

This was our 2nd trip to Royal and we were so disappointed. With exception of the cleaning staff, the staff service ranged from not quite helpful to downright rude. We paid the cost for all inclusive so that we could enjoy the drinks and food. The pool bars all closed at 6pm. The food was sub-par and, surprisingly, the buffet food exceeded the quality of the specialty dining. Each restaurant had 2 tables to seat 6. Otherwise they only had 4 tops. Our party of 5 was only able to eat together once. We saw the staff separate families...seating children at their own tables. That did not create the most relaxing environment and you could tell it made many parents uncomfortable. Masks were worn by staff at all times, however no one enforced mask wearing for the guests. The facility was very clean however between broken elevators, air conditioning and mini fridge, it was quite frustrating. We ended up checking out early and renting an AIrBNB. We wish we had done that from the beginning. We do not recommend at all, especially for those who want to enjoy the pools, drinks and food.

This was a trip to remember. The website and reviews did not do justice. It was so beautiful and there are so many activities to participate in. Masks were worn by guests and members and safety protocols were in place. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back. ??

If the cruise ships were in port the crowds would have been doubled as many cruisers get day passes, and the sunset view would be just big boats as the port docks extended across the horizon, no real beach. Good snorkeling.

My wife and I recently took our 4 children ( ages 8, 10, 12, 15) to Cozumel for an 8 night vacation. We highly recommend this resort for families and couples alike, we had been here in 2013 on a couples trip. The resort is immaculately cared for and in great condition. The staff is amazingly pleasant and eager to serve. The staff kept us entertained nightly with family friendly events like karaoke night, trivia night and Mexican Heritage cultural presentations with dancers, music and food. During the day there are activities to keep you engaged like volleyball, and arts and crafts for the kids. The food at the buffet is very good and well presented. The 3 al la carte restaurants offer beautiful ambiance and delicious food as well.
