I will start by saying I am sad to give this hotel a single star review. I have stayed here multiple times and had a great stay in there large family style suites, however this time we stayed in a deluxe pet suite. This was a first floor room. We had the basic room, two queens mini fridge. Upon check in we were given room 127. When we arrived to unload our belongings, the front door had stains of liquids and looked like it had never been wiped. Then when we got in I walked the room, the leatherette chairs had chunks of fabric missing on the front of the seat, gouges in the walls, scuff Mark's (like mud boot prints on the cabinet edges) and the door frames of the bathroom. Were so banged up it was horrible. Do I went to complain, got another room and this room was not much better. We were honestly to tired to rebook anything else so we stayed. This new room was two rooms away, and the one bed had a collapsed corner so when you played on it it was as if you were going to roll off, the grout in the newly remodeled showers was extremely dirty. If you are remodeling bathrooms, maybe do not put white grout on white tile unless you know how to keep the grout clean. This hotel needs way better quality control, and some serious care given to the first floor pet rooms. Guest with pets, still pay the same price plus an extra fee, and there was no care given to these rooms whatsoever. I know some hotels provide pet bowls, beds, treats and disposable bags, nothing like that was given during our stay. To pay this amount which was $169.00 for a basic room I expect cleanliness and this was significantly lacking since our last visit. Stained carpets, collapsed beds, dirty grout and more. This hotel needs serious quality control and management needs to pay considerable care to checking quality of the rooms they are selling.

We have season passes for Marmot Basin and the Marmot Lodge is our home away from home!! Rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Make sure you say Hi to Meg at the front desk. She is always cheerful and willing to help with anything! She starts our weekend out on a good note!

    Terrible bed.

The service and hotel are fine but the bed was not. I stayed in room 102 for a night and the bed is old and has grooves in it from previous guests. I did not sleep well at all as every time I tried to roll over I would roll into the groove. You could also hear other rooms run water and flushing of toilets. I think I would stay at a hotel in the centre of town next time as this was on the outskirts.

The Marmot Lodge was always one of our favourite places to stay while skiing Marmot Basin. Opted to stay there again as it has direct external access to the rooms and therefore safer during COVID. However it seems that the Hotel has not been renovated for at least 20 years and is now outdated. The soundproofing in the room was virtually non-existent and it was stuffy - could open the window but with overnight temperatures of -10 this was not a practical solution. The room was extremely dirty. The carpet did not appear to have been vacuumed for months and there was a luggage tag from a previous occupant in clear view on the floor when we arrived. There was a massive build up of grime and dust on the top of the chest behind the TV and there were splash marks on the bathroom walls that had not been wiped off. COVID deep cleaning protocols are either not in place or not being followed. Our bill had an extra charge for an "ECO stay" program. No idea what this was for as the hotel has no obvious "green" program. Pursuit Hotels who seem to be a new owner of the hotel do not appear to be very interested in guest feedback as the only response we got from our comments on the on-line survey was a pro-forma "we appreciate your feedback" email

Very good, clean hotel that served our College field trip well! Thanks to Pat in group sales and the staff at the front desk for making our check-in and check-out so easy. Your professionalism and assistance is greatly appreciated and we would book with you again should the need arise.
