Lobby is very clean and immaculate and there are so many stores to visit throughout the breeze way. Staff was very helpful with directions and instructions on how to get around the island. Rooms were very clean and modern. The beds were amazing!! The best sleep I have ever had in a hotel was here. On the ocean side there was a beautiful infinity pool with access to the beach and tiki bar. I will never stay anywhere else in Waikiki.

Travelled with a few friends on vacation and spent a few days in Waikiki-this was immediately prior to lockdowns due to COVID-19. Only a few things that were deficient but otherwise overall a nice stay. Check in was easy for the two rooms I had booked. Another friend decided to join at the last minute and Reggie from the front desk spent a considerable amount of time trying to make sure we were all situated near each other in rooms with great views. This was much appreciated. Unfortunately room service and a couple of the outlets were closed due to lower occupancy resulting from COVID. The rooms were on the small side but very clean, and modern, and as mentioned views of Diamond Head and the beach were spectacular. Bathrooms had high tech Japanese toilets and balcony was a decent size with nice seating. The property is expansive with some nice shops, and is very well situated in Waikiki with an easy walking distance to main areas. We were given complimentary drink vouchers which we enjoyed at Rum Fire in the afternoon after a beach day. Beach was as expected however there was very limited seating/umbrellas for rent and the larger pool area was the same. Despite signs saying that chairs that were vacant with belongings on them would only be held for a limited time, it seemed that at the jam packed adults only pool, that this was not being enforced as I saw couples leaving and returning hours later to their chairs with shopping bags etc. It seems like this hotel shares its pool with sister properties and the adult pool is really too small to accommodate this number of people. The lounge chairs are literally shoulder to shoulder. Impossible to enjoy with no privacy or space. Large pool has similar issues but was worse as construction for the renos was still ongoing and between that and screaming children made this pool noisy and unpleasant to sit. The outdoor bathrooms adjoining were also unfortunately filthy dirty. Moving on, by contrast the Club Lounge was very nice, with lots of seating, amazing views and a good selection of food. Drink selection was ok however wines were not very high end and this could be improved. It is also extremely busy. The hotel would benefit from disallowing access to be purchased and limit it to Elite members and guests in premium rooms only. The main problem was during the stay we had a security incident with one of our rooms where a room attendant had gone in while we were absent to leave a welcome gift for me (as the Titanium elite guest), and not only went into my friends room rather than mine, but then left the door to the room propped open while vacant after dropping the gift, for presumably a couple of hours. Fortunately neither of my friends found anything missing but I found their door ajar and was able to enter the room while vacant myself. I received profound apologies from management and the security team initiated an investigation. Lounge access was granted to the rest of the group as compensation however I had to request the manager to offer a good will gesture. Housekeeping was also very good and the Bell Desk were helpful. All in all it's a nice property and I would return, but would book a larger rooms and the atmosphere would be more pleasant when renovations are finally finished.

We came to the hotel around 4 PM. Mind you that check-in starts at 3 PM there is at this time a line of about 15 people and one person checking people in. There are two people for the Elite Bonvoy members and about six people waiting in line there. Why are there four people at bell service including a manager with no line? This is prime time check-in time absolutely ridiculous that this isn’t staffed accordingly. Picked an ocean king room - the view and room was great. However there are no amenities in the room like shower cap, robe or slippers. I find this strange for a Sheraton property- they actually sell hotel slippers in the gift shop downstairs which I find absurd. Upon checking into my room I found chocolate on my pillow and also all on the side of my bed on the floor. I called the front desk and surprisingly they did not offer a room change they just sent people to come and clean the carpets and change the sheets. They did offer however to waive my resort fees which was OK. It just makes me question their cleaning - as the corona pandemic is happening and they are missing these small things like are they REALLLY cleaning their hotel?

We spent 5 nights at the Sheraton. 2 nights in an oceanfront double room and 3 nights in a Kai Ocean Suite. Both rooms were recently renovated and beautifully done. The lounge was nice, decent selection if food and the beer and wine happy hour was good. The view from the lounge is spectacular. We spent our time at the Helumoa pool with our kids. The water slide kept them entertained and the hot tubs were nice for us. If you prefer the beach, it is just steps from the pool.

We celebrated our engagement at Sheraton Waikiki and we had a fabulous time. We got a pair of cups from the gift shop to memorialize the sweet memory of our engagement experience. When I got home, I clumsily broke one of the cups. I was very upset because the cup is supposed to be a pair. So I emailed Sheraton Waikiki to see if they could send me one cup to them a pair. I didn't expect to even hear back, knowing my inquiry was unconventional. However, I received a prompt response from Shaun Ono, Director of Rooms. After sending Shaun the picture of the cup, Shaun went to the store to look for the exact cup and mailed one to me. In the package I received, he even included a hand-written note for thanking me staying at Sheraton and hope I had a good stay. I was so touched by his effort. That's a classic example of going above and beyond to provide extraordinary service for guests. In the hospitality industry today, many businesses are pursuing scale over quality. Shaun has demonstrated that the team at Sheraton Waikiki is client-centric. It is experiences like this, Shaun's above and beyond customer service that makes me a lifetime fan of Sheraton Waikiki.
