    Who knew this would be our last trip before Covid-19 hit? It was a special trip and the Fairmont was a huge part of this. Every room is a suite and we loved our location with a partial Ocean view. A separate living area made 4am business calls easier to take while the lucky sleeper slumbered on. The bathroom is huge with a tub and separate shower. Our room had a huge balcony and we enjoyed it. We have stayed at the Four Seasons Wailea many times and were worried that the Fairmont might not be as special. Not the case. There are 2 pools and we never had an issue getting a place to sit. There is also beach seating. Service was solid. Not outstanding by the pool but they were busy and happy to be flagged down even if they did not check in often. We did rent a private cabana a few times and that is one thing we missed about the Four Seasons (every room is guaranteed a cabana free of charge). But the Fairmont is a click down price wise so it makes sense. Dinner at Ko was delightful as were two lunches. I would skip Nick's (read the reviews). It is not run by the Fairmont and you can see it in the service and overall experience. We can't wait to return to the special place that is the Faiirmont Kea Lani.

    We took our kids to Maui and stayed at the fairmont. We were hesitant since our honeymoon stay in 2015 was not as expected. The resort promised to make it right and they delivered on that promise. While this was a much different vacation than our honeymoon it was still so much fun. The activities for the kids were perfect not obnoxious and in your face but really engaging and fun. My son and I have Celiac disease and the resort was excellent at safely accommodating our needs and providing enough gluten free options that we didn’t fee deprived at all. The service was impeccable and the aloha spirit was everywhere. We hope to stay at Kea Lani again on our future visits to Maui!

    My husband, son, daughter-in-law, and I spent 5 nights at the Fairmont Kea Lani, and had the most wonderful time. We splurged on ocean view suites, and were not disappointed. My son and his wife initially were placed in a room overlooking construction at the property, but were moved quickly, without any problem. We spent time at the property’s pools, as well as on the beach. A highlight of our stay was experiencing the Hawaiian experience outrigger canoe paddle and whale sighting at the hotel. It was thrilling, and our Hawaiian guides, Ralph and Saul, were fantastic. We also rented a poolside cabana for a day, and loved it. All the staff at this hotel were extremely helpful, courteous, and kind to us. We are so thankful we were able to have this experience at the beginning of March, 2020, before travel to Hawaii was halted.

    All our high expectations got exceeded. An outstanding beautiful location with staff meeting the high service standards, making it personal throughout the whole Hotel. The only issue during our stay (construction noise) has been fixed quick, supportive and to our total satisfaction- A special thanks to Front desk agent Tamy here. The Food & wine choices are amazing-great seafood, a lot of local ingredients, perfect variety-great menus. A beautiful Cafe (Makana) with great options and very attentive staff memorising our Names and preferences so quickly. We hope to see a more sustainable solution to the plastic bottle usage soon. The way they perform the turn down service made us feel extra cozy and welcome. Snorkelling at the Hotel beach with seeing all that ocean life while hearing the Wales sing was outstanding! Water, towels, sunscreen and all you need are provided at all areas. Sarah made our farewell dinner at our favourite restaurant there (Ko) so special. We couldn't have asked for more and will definitely come again. Thanks to the whole Team from Canada.

    I was lucky enough to be married in Maui on March 20. My family organized a suite at the fairmont so we could spend our wedding night there as well as get ready prior to our wedding. Dealing with the front desk staff aside from one lovely lady (Ronnie) was the worst we have ever experienced. I understand there is a lot going on in the world with COVID-19 but the lack of service was unacceptable and people were just plain rude. My mother was hoping to have our suite decorated with flowers etc for when me and my husband arrived back in our room. They promised her 2 separate times that housekeeping would go up and do that for her/ us. It never happened. The hotel was not even at 50% capacity. I feel the services provided during this time by hospitality staff should have been above and beyond for the people that were still staying there but instead it was almost like we didn’t exist and didn’t matter. Room service wasn’t picked up for over 24hours, even after calling the front desk. Super disappointed in this hotel and our experience with the staff. For the price paid, we won’t even consider staying here ever again.
