Maui Kamaole Condo

great location for a family holiday - close to great beaches and easy to walk to restaurants and coffee shops. 2 pools at the property - always able to get a chair by the pool. very quiet resort. Our unit was very spacious and updated - the only concern was no a/c in the 1 bedroom as it was awaiting repair. Nice green space for watching the sunset. shower off facilities by the car park for easy removal of sand before entering the condo.

Warning: If you're interested in Maui Kamaole Condo's - do NOT book with Maui Condo & Home LLC. The property mgmt company already has two negative reviews with the Better Business Bureau (in both 2018, and 2019) specifically regarding their booking practices. This will soon be the third. Maui Condo & Home has a zero cancelation policy, and will not even accept a cancelation fee - regardless of whether the reservation for 6 months in advance and the cancelation request was made within 48 hours. Now the company is currently aggressively working to re-book this apt. unit on VRBO/HomeAway without refunding us, thus working to double their profits by keeping our money and getting someone else's. Steer clear of them!

Aside from the traffic from Kihei to Hana there is little downside to Maui. at least for me. Maui Kamaole condos are conveniently located, close to shops, restaurants, and just a hop away to beaches and site seeing opportunities. We stayed in a well-appointed second story ocean condo that provided us with an unobstructed view of the ocean, evening sunsets, and cool afternoon breezes. Keep this in mind when selecting any of the plethoras of sites available. Having a view from the covered veranda was the respite we looked forward to as the sun set and settled. Selecting a place can be a daunting undertaking and as I mentioned there are plenty to choose from. Units are priced based on what they have to offer, proximity to the beach and of course the "view". The view extends the enjoyment 20X, so the added expense is a well-spent option. Mahalo.

First time staying right in Kehei and this was a great choice. The unit we were in was clean and in very good condition. We were at most a five minute walk to Kamaole 3. Walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops etc.

Something you should be aware of before renting at Maui Kamaole. The condition and representation of the units is totally at the discretion of the owner. Some units are lovely, most ok, and some are unfit for habitation. We just stayed in one of the latter and paid top dollar. The furniture was trashed, unit was filthy and full of cockroaches and ants, closets stuffed full of junk, no towels or washcloths, and the kitchen was an ill-equipped mess. The "TV" in the bedroom was a non-functioning small computer monitor. See attached photos. We've stayed at Maui Kamaole many times but never again. The on-site staff and agency we rented from both said that at this property, there is no minimum standard for furnishing or maintaining the units. So--buyer beware! In particular, steer clear of unit H-104. The photos on the rental website describing the property were misleading.
