Great experience as always. Staff is kind and attentive. Property is beautiful and conveniently located to everything in the south part of the island. They set up a helicopter trip for us that was not to be forgotten

Amazing place to stay on Kauai! The staff are exceptional and provide friendly, welcoming service. The food is delicious, though a bit pricey to be honest. The swimming pools are beautiful and there is plenty of room. We did not have a problem getting a chair either.

Great location for walks/hikes, shopping, restaurants, tours, etc. This Hyatt is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Numerous gorgeous pools on a terraced property, just steps from the beach and astounding cliffside views. All the restaurants are excellent but we spent all our mid-day meals at the Captain's Bar by the pool. The bartender Glenn deserves a shout-out for outstanding service. He always made us feel welcome and was fun to talk to. All the other bartenders and pool servers too were great as well, providing excellent service. We also loved the water bottles given to us upon check-in with multiple re-fill stations throughout the hotel and grounds. Great idea to minimize plastic bottle waste.

Unfortunately, this was my worst hotel experience I have honestly ever had.. the only reason for a 2 star review was the pools was beautiful, thats it. From check in, and having 2 nights gifted to me (this was a birthday celebration trip), upon check in - saying, yes this was a gift to me. I will put my cc on file for any small fees but the actual stay is taken care of with the card on file. Less than 20 minutes later, I received 2 phone calls from the front desk. Trying to settle in and they kept calling explaining "We are trying to charge this and $600 fee for.." and I said, excuse me I just said this was gift, this stay. They charged my card that fee by the way... Not only that, they said the person that gifted it, was part of Hyatt and in order for this to go through they had to be present during the stay. I was honestly just getting into the shower and they are explaining to me, if this isn't resolved in 30 minutes, we can not have you stay with us..... I had to make a nice phone call to a manager of Hyatt on the east coast (which I explained on the phone its almost 2am over there and I still had to make this call to fix this..) Needless to say, they did not call me after receiving a horrid call - like.. what an opening experience to this "$900+ a night resort" Lastly, I want to mention a staff member. Diann Hartman - if you are trying to get in touch with the marking team at this resort. ...Don't bother, because they are the most unprofessional group of people iv'e ever worked with. Hyatt should be embarrassed to call this person a marketing manager, after working over a month with her - she cancelled something less than 2 days prior to being "understaffed", sent contracts and all. To cancel on an entire team who has been set up for a while now. Extremely unprofessional. She embarrassed Hyatt and had the most uncomfortable conversation with her, iv'e truly ever had with a 'professional'. I have in this industry for over 10+ years and trust me, most uncomfortable and most unprofessional person I have ever talked to. It's unfortunate because I actually recommend my clients to hotels since I travel part time. Now? I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, don't waste your money. $900 a night??? Get a home rental, the rooms are not updated, this is not worth what they want to charge. I wouldn't recommend and they look at you like price tag. Over run, not updated, not worth $900 a night or even over $300 a night honestly. Get a home rental!

We spent our Honeymoon here 29 years ago and fell in love with the Hotel. I’m happy to say it is still an awesome hotel with beautiful grounds, nice rooms and great dining. The service was also awesome and everybody is so friendly. We will not wait another 29 years to return.
