Nice lay back easy resort with beautiful views and small rest and lounge. Team members are excellent but not much to do without an taxi to town. Rooms are nice and easy access to pools and ocean. Two for one drinks a at happy hour and in bar from 5-7.

    The staff are great!

My girlfriend and I recently were guests at Casa Del Mar celebrating my birthday back in December. Our first day started off with a bad start with our time share tour (see post from Jess). The staff were able to make a complete rebound from the awful experience that we had with a guy named Remy who tore up pieces of paper in front of us and who insulted us for not signing up for a time share. Paco the pool side bartender got us back in the party spirit by making us some great margs and Jesús the bell hop gave us great recommendations on where to venture out too. I can’t recommend this place enough and thank you again to Paco and Jesús for making our trip memorable and for all of your hard work with keeping us happy during our stay!

Great location and hotel. I went with my wife and infant and stayed for one week to spend New Year. Room was comfortable and clean, with an amazing sea view (btw I reckon all rooms have the same view). Service was good and have to thank Arroyo, Francisco, Ivan and Yamal for their friendly and professional attitude. The only downside, hence the 4 out of 5 stars, is that we found difficult to move around with a pram due to the lack of ramps to the rooms and to the restaurant. The staff was always helpful on this though. There is room for improvement on this should the management decide to work on accessibility for disabled or prams.

The hotel is gorgeous and offers a truly high class experience. The staff was amazing and so friendly. This review also comes after only being at the hotel for 1 day so it might not encapsulate the whole experience. With that being said I felt I must share. So, we were aware of a possible timeshare presentation when we booked because of previous reviews we read so we were ready with an open mind but 100% not in the market for investing in anything. Especially being a couple in our mid-30s saving for a home with lots of debt just looking to take a getaway vacation. We checked in and were greeted by the concierge who told us we were invited to a “10th anniversary celebratory breakfast” the next morning to hear a presentation. We obviously knew that this was probably a lie and it meant some kind of timeshare offer and were ready to turn it down. However, we were told we would get a $100 credit towards our stay if we just attended. A signing commitment was never explained. Next morning we woke up very hungover but decided to check it out so we could at least receive our reward. Our initial salesman/tour guide was amazing. He was really the only reason we left this experience feeling decent. And We even continuously told him how we will NOT be signing anything at the end of this thing but he still tried his hardest, respectfully so since that is his job. We finalized the tour and ended up in the offices and in comes Remy, the manager. A man who started off only speaking to my boyfriend, assuming he was the money maker of our house. I told him that I am actually the 32 yr old female who makes 6 figures for our home. As soon as that happened, it was clear he put on his “Oh, I’m even better with women” sales hat and basically ignored my boyfriend at that point. Now, my father is a salesman so I respect the art of making a pitch so I allowed the man to give me the information so I would have my best understanding of what I was being offered. My father also told me, “if a person is not in the market, you have to respect that and know the answer might sadly be a No.” After the pitch I explained our situation and how we don’t even own a home yet let alone have money to invest in vacation timeshares. I can’t deny that the offer wasn’t intriguing and I wished we had the time & money to take it. It’s clear there has been a lot of thought into how to revitalize timeshares and make it flexible for people with all incomes. But we just cannot do it, so this man persisted as I assumed any salesperson would but he got obviously mad at my continued rejection. He asked me why we were even came to the presentation then. I was honest and Told him it was because of the incentive we were offered ($100 credit). He said and I quote, “How do you take my money but deny me the chance to sell you a good deal. That is extremely disrespectful.” I was appalled and shocked to be spoken to like that given I was a paying guest at this hotel. And I couldn’t help but think... if I was a man, and older, would you have reacted that way in my turning you down? I assume this man is an experience salesman, and he has probably experienced a “no” before? I respectfully gave my $100 credit back Since that was clearly the thing that had stipulations to it, and was basically asked to leave the room. My boyfriend and I have several older, rich friends who would’ve been very interested in this but after this treatment I will never suggest this hotel and I do feel bad about that because the other hotel employees we interacted with were amazing and made our stay lovely.

We are mid way through our trip and because I keep raving each morning about how much I love this hotel, I decided to write my review before we leave I love everything about this hotel First off, the location, ambiance and setting: we chose this hotel because its mid distance between crazy Cabo and quiet San Jose. With a car you can access either town in a few minutes. All the corridor beaches are close by. Yesterday I walked back from tequila cove, the swimming beach at the Hilton, and it was a 10 minute walk. Next, the ambiance is amazing. All the rooms in this hacienda style hotel face the beach. Our room looks out to the west, others to the east. Being a hacienda style it exudes old Mexico luxury. Perfection The room itself exceeded my expectations. The terrace is large, with comfortable teak armchairs. Many hours have been spent here enjoying that million dollar view. We booked an ocean view suite, which gives you a large living area with two couches and a table with chairs. Incredibly spacious. The bed is super comfy with excellent linens. The bathroom is marble, as are all the floors There is a little mini bar fridge, and a counter with a sink and coffee maker. Because I don’t drink coffee we brought our own tea kettle. If there’s one ‘tiny’ thing I’d improve, its to include a microwave. That would allow guests to heat left overs from dinner and to make tea. Otherwise, this is my favourite hotel we have stayed at in the Cabo area. We have stayed at around 10 other properties here and this one ticks all the boxes: quiet location, wonderful ambiance, classy style, comfortable and well appointed room, large terrace with furniture you can actually enjoy sitting on, and amazing staff We have so far in four days eaten two dinners here and two breakfasts. The food is excellent. My husband had ribeye steak twice and it was excellent. Good prices too, certainly not cheap, but not expensive either, what you would expect to pay at a nice hotel Rounding out my review is a shout out to the awesome staff, the cleaning ladies, the pool waiters, bar tender, restaurant staff, front desk, all wonderful
