    Overall good experience nice staff and splendid hotel, we we're just passing by and waiting for our result for swab test and flight to the phillipines, the company we are working for booked us here and its a wonderful experience all in all.

    We were staying in another hotel we decided to move to the Barcelo we called they said we could check it at 12 we checked in on Hotels.com says We can check in at 12 We sat in the lobby till 3 o’clock as a front desk person Ernesto said there was no rooms available this whole hotel is empty He just had us sitting there for no reason the rooms were unoccupied and available There’s no customers in this place and you cannot get service in the restaurant The glory days of this hotel have passed I have the blame Management if you cannot see you have bad staff like this Ernesto then the owners have to change management or this hotel will be closed within a year

    What we did not like: 1.- for a 4 night stay you only have 2 dinners at specialty restaurants. 2.- Wifi its terrible all over the Hotel, it was slow with a lot of disconnects, I'm glad I did not come here while my daughters had online classes. 3.- The Hotel had 2 restaurants open for breakfast, but the last 2 days the only had one, this restaurant was completely overloaded, from the entrance, to the buffet line and the waiters were trying to do their best, but obviously it was too much for them. 4.- On the 3rd day all of the sudden there were no waiters in the pool area and there was no notification given to the guest that there would be no service. 5.- Food options at the buffet limited. 6.- I sent a note to the hotel management and never got an answer. 7.- Prepared drinks like a mojito was terrible, but not because of the bar tender, but because they did not have the ingredients to make them like fresh mint, the one the bartender showed me was old and brown and that was what they had to work with. What I liked: 1.- Quality of the food was good. 2.- overall very friendly employees with the exception of the front desk. 3.- Dinning at the Mexican restaurant was the best. from my point of view this is not a 4 diamond resort, I can understand that Covid has hit them and they lowered their standard, the problem is that the charge as if they maintained the 4 diamond standard. It would have been better if they would have explained limitations upfront and let us choose weather this was ok or not. I will not be coming back to the hotel, its a shame, because its only a 3 hr. drive from Guadalajara but you have more, better and cheaper options in Vallarta than this Hotel.

    Three of us spent a week here before COVID hit and it was just what I needed, the timing was perfect, and everything (except the nightmarish flight and transport to and from) was great. The food was delicious, service was top notch, clean, and pretty much everything we needed at our fingertips.

    this hotel is horrible they truly do not deserve 4 diamonds, they did not allow early check in, the mini bar room was not stocked up, the lady’s at the front desk like Vanessa Flórez and Ysvel something are extremely rude & not helpful at all did not let us know where to find out hours of place, locations restaurants, they did not have any amenities in the room as lotion, qtips, etc. when I did ask for them, they brought them in a zip log bag and I took the box out and the QTIPS WHERE USED! Their is yellow all over them. This place is disgusting and refuse to take care of you how a 4 diamond should. The food is horrible has no flavor, the all inclusive only last part of the day because at night you can’t have room service! and it was never stated on their website! I’m honestly just being honest about all of this so you guys don’t make the same mistake we did!
