My husband and I traveled to Sandals Royal Bahamian in April 2024 for a week and absolutely loved it. Mark was our driver to/from the airport and he was fantastic. Showed us spots along the way and is just a fantastic, fun person. We were then greeted at Sandals and taken to our butler checkin where we met one of butlers for the week. We had Kevinson and Sterling for the week and they literally did everything they could to make us feel so special and appreciated. Phenomenal people. Avis was working Island Tours desk the entire time we were there and she kept us up to date with the available tours. We did the walking Taste of Nassau and Cultural Tour and Lisa was our tour guide. She is amazing. Fun, knowledgeable, helpful and hilarious. The tour itself was great and I encourage everyone to go on it. We spent a few times at the Private Island. Go as often as you can. What a gem. We honestly had the best trip and can’t wait to go back. Favorite meals include and antipasto bar at Tesoro’s and the chicken parm was great. We loved La Plume. The duck was perfect. Highly recommend. The scallop appetizer at Gordon’s is great. Everyone we met and talked to was so friendly and helpful. Such a great time.

We stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian April 14th - 20th 2024. We stayed in the West Bay building and had a swim up butler suite that gave a a beautiful view of the water and allowed us to stay engaged with poolside activities throughout the day. We had three amazing butlers - Vadis, Darmondo, and Yanela who always went above and beyond. If you go, stop by the piano bar after dinner for a spectacular drink courtesy of Philip who’s the best in the business. Every staff member was kind, attentive and courteous. Dinner at Butch’s is a must, Soy was delicious as was Kimono’s. For breakfast, we enjoyed LaPlume and lunch at Aralia’s house at the off-shore island was good. The off-shore island was beautiful, secluded and peaceful. Go early to get your choice of cabanas overlooking the water. This was our first time staying at a Sandals resort and we didn’t know what to expect. There were a good mix of guests - from young honeymooners, to middle aged vacationers, to older couples. They also offer plenty of nightly entertainment to enjoy. Sandals knows how to deliver an incredible experience that makes you want to come back for more.

The resort is absolutely beautiful! The island was amazing. VERY RELAXING! The evening entertainment was phenomenal!

I wanted to give my compliments to the team here at Royal Bahamian. This was my first visit and hopefully more to come. I was very impressed with the overall resort (upkeep, maintenance, the white paint surrounding very clean, and atmosphere). The team was very friendly, available, and efficient. It is hard not to compare to other resorts, but the Bahamian spirit and charm is one of the finest that make you feel at home. Kevin Clarke the GM was very personable and present for the guests and team along with all the leadership team. Simone Grey was so patient, pleasant, and gracious to handle our group with an amazing personality. At our arrival cocktail we met Alexis the Bahamian dancer that was so friendly and full of life engaging in all the group to make everyone feel welcome. Arizona from the food trucks shined very bright with her smile, and eagerness to assist everyone that was near. Next time I will have to take notes on names since there is so much praise to go around from the bar staff, restaurant team, house keeping, entertainment team and the concierge team was over the top excellent with their customer service etiqute. Thank you Royal Bahamian team!

Sandals sell themselves as an upmarket all inclusive adults only resort which to an extent was true and we enjoyed our 4 nights there. The staff were very friendly but there are issues which should be sorted out at a high level. The first is the short transfer from the airport. Whilst Sandals contract this out it needs to be looked at. We were told at the airport we would wait in the bus, which appeared to be the oldest in the airport waiting area, for 15 mins and then depart. Sadly not the case. After about 15 minutes another couple got on, great we thought we are off. Not the case. Despite asking the driver to take us, he said he was told to wait and some 20 minutes later, 4 people from a different flight turned up and to make matters worse he then dumped their heavy cases on top of our soft ones. The meant we then arrived at the hotel over an hour after we had landed, is this a way of Sandals trying to upsell the Butler service which has dedicated transfers. When we arrived we were told that one wing of the resort was closed for renovation and therefore we would be given a lower category room in the open wing as our room was not available. Room was good but view was not what we paid for and it was not until we returned to the UK that a satisfactory conclusion was agreed. This resort had its own private island with a regular ferry and it was a lovely place and not very busy and the food at the restaurant was excellent. However in bad weather the island does not open and this happened the 2 days before arrived. No issues in booking restaurants and the food in all of them were good.
