    Nice but no time square

The room was nice but i dont think any room has a view of time square. It is walking distance from the square. Didnt like that the platinum lounge charges for alcohol and the food bar closes early. Was very disappointed when i got a call from Secruity at 6am blaming me for making too much noise and telling me that will get kicked out if i dont keep it down, even though i was sleep. I was never given an apology for security calling the wrong room and floor, Bc my floor was very quite. One tip for platinum members, the accommodations are meager, dont expect much.

I love the location of the hotel, close to everything, such as Central Park, museums, Time Square, etc. Check-in was quick and easy. I like the efficiency of the elevators and the tight security at night.

Nice central location at north end of Times Square district. Busy and crowded. Quiet at night except Saturdays. Nice but small rooms. Good service. Belongs to the central district hotels charging an extra "destination fee" of $35/day that can be used in hotel, but beware that alcoholic drinks start at $18. Nice deal with $50/day room charge for lounge access which includes a full American breakfast and a light dinner.

In the past, this hotel has always been the perfect "pit stop" for when we're walking around, whatever time of year, a need a bathroom. It's always been very nice, many people waiting to open your door and welcome you. A super-sized NYC hotel. Yet, in all these years, I'd never stayed there. Until last night. I had gotten tickets for my sister-in-law and myself for Saturday Night Live (just around the corner). We met late afternoon and went to the spacious and very nicely designed bar seating area. Lots of privacy without feeling hidden away. We sat at a window table for great people watching. After a toast to our Moms' getaway, we headed to registration. I noticed the entire lobby had been redecorated since I'd been there last a few years ago. It was done in natural colors, warm browns and other earth tones. And plenty of lively plants. It was a well done refurb., keeping it current and more in line with today's interior design trends. The gentleman who checked us in could not have been more friendly and efficient. I had booked thru Hotwire and only had the choice of a queen bed. It was only thru him that I might have had the chance to get two beds instead. I asked and with a quick look at the computer had us in a double room on the 19th floor. Bingo! We had a little time to prepare for dinner and SNL. The room was not tremendous. The view was standard. But there were plenty of amentities, including an unusually abundant supply of towels. For the small amount. If time we were actually in the room, it was a big win. EXCELLENT deal from Hotwire, 2 beds and a quiet floor. Room 1928. Upon returning after the show, at approximately 1:30 am, we were happy to have very comfy beds with super soft, but not smooshy, pillows and a thermometer that kept the room at a happy 68°. There happened to have been A LOT of construction in the city this weekend. No matter which direction we went, there was something going on. Unfortunately, the sound of the construction happening 19 floors down, adjacent to the hotel, made for falling asleep a bit of a challenge. Both my sister-in-law and I checked the window - we were convinced it was open somewhere!! Seeing that was not the case, we were happy to be so tired that it was not completely prohibitive to a good night's sleep. I think I may have been woken up once. Overall, no real harm done. Just a real mystery as to how it could be so very loud that far away!! While we had a $30 voucher for food & drink (by being a Marriott member - they own Sheraton), we had already made our dinner plans and we did not care to have the hotel's restaurant (Hudson) breakfast buffet. So we walked about 2 blocks to the diner attached to the Wellington hotel. Had a great, only in NYC, classics breakfast with endless coffee. To conclude - I recommend the Sheraton Times Square for tourists and NY-ers alike. A pretty, clean and friendly place to rest one's weary self; or run in to use the bathroom. You can't go wrong here!!!
