Customer service needs to do better

tphr021 on Apr 07, 2024

Room was nice and renovated. Walls are too thin. Could hear everyone coming and going walking down the hall. Then there was some party all the way up top blasting music. We were stuck hearing the annoying bass all night which kept waking up the baby. Called the front desk about it and they basically said we could switch rooms to a different floor (at 11:40pm) or just wait until the party was over lol. They did not even attempt to try and tell them to turn the bass or music down.

Fabulous

Beautiful hotel, huge room and the staff are super friendly and cheerful. They actually seemed like they enjoy their jobs, which is refreshing. We also had pizza for room service and it was surprisingly delicious. Just an overall great experience:)

Convenient and comfortable stay

BethUhhKnee (Maui, Hawaii) on Mar 23, 2024

Hotel was beautifully renovated and smelled like berries upon check in. Parking was convenient, staff was friendly, and park was a short walk located next door. We were super excited to find out that Knott's Berry Farm admission tickets were discounted if you're a hotel guest. Our room was on the 7th floor, and we had a view of the water park and ghost rider rollercoaster. Room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated, beds were comfortable, and bath products were boysenberry scented. 30 Acre restaurant on site was convenient, along with the coffee bar and gift shop. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back for a future visit.

Knotts for foodies

LOCATION LOCATION! Recently renovated and a stones throw from the park. I regret not taking photos from our room, 814. Decor is farmhouse with a modern flare. We really enjoyed our stay here. One minor inconvenience-4pm check in, hotel was extremely busy. Would definitely stay again.

Swap Back & Front of House Staff

Jedi1984 (Newcastle, Australia) on Mar 12, 2024

I was blown away with how modern, slick yet rustic the room was at Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel. It had obviously been renovated and it shows. Every little detail to match the theme of the park was included in the room. I had a view of the pool and the windows didn’t open in the room either. Air conditioning worked but I could never make it get hot and when it was on cold the unit vibrated like the ghost rider roaring around the corner in the theme park. The bathroom had fancy lighting around the mirror which you could control by pressing the mirror. There’s a closet for hanging clothes and a seperate bath and toilet next to the wash room. The shower was a bathtub / shower set up with the curtain. I personally hate these set ups as water goes everywhere. The room overall was quite small and I struggled to find room for my suitcase which is a standard travel suitcase for a 4 week vacation. Unfortunately my visit also came with some bad. The doors are quite heavy in the room so when they close they slam. Other guests had no concern closing their door softly so slams all through the night. I was also disappointed with the lacklustre integration with the park in terms of experience. Sure, tickets were slightly cheaper but there was no wow factor for staying there unlike SeaWorld Resort in Australia that offers early access, transport and character appearances for guests. The front of house staff was also disappointing from check in and right through the stay. There was no real interest, well that’s what I witnessed anyways. I went to buy a drink to take with me on a walk and tried to pay cash - I was snapped at that it was a cashless hotel only. That’s fine however as a visitor to the US, I found TSA officials more pleasant. The restaurant staff were unsure of gluten free options nor tried to see if anything on the menu could be accommodated to make me eat there. I also needed help with some medication (there’s a fridge in room and that was fine for my stay) but as I was travelling with medication that requires it to be kept at 2 degrees I asked reception if I could put the ice brick in the freezer overnight to assist. The answer was no. Really disappointing as it also appears front of house don’t care about the health and welfare of guests. I’ve never had an issue in any other hotel in the world who didn’t help with this. There was also no walk through on what the hotel had to offer nor any information in the room on the area or services of the hotel like a free shuttle to Disney. Good to find that out when I was leaving. Note as well there’s next to nowhere to eat unless you want to walk. One really big positive though and by far in all my travels, Knott’s hotel did this really great was back of house. The back of house staff were attentive, polite and very friendly. Going that extra mile by opening doors, pressing lift buttons, asking how your day was probably something they just do. Shame they stay back of house because they should probably be promoted to front. All in all, no issues with my room, my biggest issue is with the attitude of staff and unwillingness to assist a medical situation.
