Five star service and accommodations

I hate to write this review because I do not want this place filling up with no availability!!! It is amazing. We checked in at the same time a LARGE conference group was checking in. With that being said, check in was a total breeze. We have visited a few years ago and the new renovations are AMAZING! It felt totally upscale. The rooms: The suites are redone and look great, a beachy vacation feeling throughout. Clean and well appointed. Lots of space. Shower had great pressure. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Lobby: upon walking in we were greeted with drinks and a small pineapple snack. It was beautiful. A Starbucks in the looby is new, we did not stop, so cannot comment on speed and quality. Pool: the pool area is fantastic. Brand new chairs, chair covers, and Steve the day attendant was amazing. Friendly! We did not have to lift a finger while we were there. He was constantly running to get towels and clean up areas. There was also wait service at the pool to get drinks and food from the bar. It was great. This could be a day in itself. There is even a water slide that is staffed! Making it safe and comfortable. Parking: We were in tower 2. Even coming back late at night parking was not an issue, but there were several in our building attending a conference. I am assuming they did not have cars with them. IF the building was full, I can see where parking might be an issue. Elevators: Fast and never busy, we were always able to get one quickly to start our day. Proximity: Close to everything! We love the location, easy to get to, easy to find. Security: The towers are gated and you must have a room key to get to them. We felt totally safe and it kept traffic to a minimum. We really appreciated that aspect. If you order take-out, you have to meet the delivery drivers in the lobby. Not a big hassle, but something to keep in mind if you wanted to get into your PJ's and relax at the end of the day. :) We typically stay on Disney property when we come to the Orlando area, but when we don't, this is the place for us!
AWFUL - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY at the Caribe Royale. While it is quite convenient to Disney, it is not worth the hassle. From the rude front desk representative that checked us in, to the blood on the comforter, and the billing nightmare that I have addressed with them three times - AVOID this place at all costs. Sadly, they have "put lipstick on a pig" with their refurbishment but they cannot get their act in gear.
