Do not stay here if you like to sleep at night

karlas757 (Sioux Falls, South Dakota) on Mar 20, 2024

Horrible experience for a family of 5. Arrived late after a long day of travel and activity. Had a 2-bedroom suite w/2 queen beds. There was no bedding for the sofa bed which we need for one of our children to sleep on. After several requests was told that they couldn’t deliver it to us until morning. Used towels for pillows and blanket to try to sleep on the bed (gross!). At 2:30 am smoke alarm started beeping from low battery. Was told that there was no maintenance available until 7:30am. After 5 hrs of little to no sleep, we were all exhausted and cranky for the entire day (ruined that day of vacay for our family). Do NOT stay here if you hope to get any sleep while away from home!!

We were very disappointed

Peter F (Alexandria, Virginia) on Feb 24, 2024

As Marriott Bonvoy members who have come to expect a lot from Marriott properties, we were very disappointed in the Residence Inn Palm Desert. We tried to check in at 4pm, but no rooms were available. We checked in about 90 minutes later. There were coffee packets in the room, but no coffee pot present in the room to use. There was a problem with the bolt lock on the door to the room, and the room appeared not to have been vacuumed. We would not stay here again.

Generally good, but looking a bit tired.

tara-stlbrits (O'Fallon, Missouri) on Dec 18, 2023

We stayed for 4 nights in the 400 block in December. Our room was OK, but some aspects of the room were tired and worn looking. Especially the black out curtains, they were shredded in places, so didn't work well. Also the kitchen wasn't stocked with enough and odd cups etc. 2 mugs, 1 glass, 1 wine glass, not much cutlery. The breakfast was good and the pool area looked nice but we actually didn't use it. Staff were friendly. The location was very convenient for what we needed.

Needs reno and refresh

879JOE (Menlo Park, California) on Nov 25, 2023

We have stayed here before in 2020. Wow, this hotel feels very run down. We stayed a week and housekeeping came only once and only bc I called to request, even though I had preselected daily housekeeping on the bonvoy app. There was garbage around the landscaping, and the kitchen was poorly stocked. The coffee machine was so disgusting that we went to home goods and bought our own machine. HVAC in the room was old/tired and often inoperable. Drapes full of holes. Mold in bathroom. Furniture worn and needs replacing. Maybe they’re understaffed?

Unpleasant Stay

mcbcokanagan (Okanagan Valley, Canada) on Nov 21, 2023

Way below any Marriot level. The property is not very clean. It’s old, out-dated and needs a Reno. Room hasn’t been vacuumed. Old macaroni on the floor, along with stained carpet, stained couch, mismatched dining chairs with holes, one roll of toilet paper, bedding low quality, room was very dark and smelled musty. You could not take your shoes off because the debris from previous guests was scattered on the floor. Garbage left on the pathways to the parking, and tucked in the landscaping. However the front desk assistant manager was extremely friendly and lovely to check in. Very disappointed in the Marriot property. Would not stay here again.
