Dreams Villamagna Nuevo Vallarta

To start--yes, traveling to a resort now is a lot different than it was a few years ago, so I am keeping that in mind when writing this review. We stayed at Secrets in PV 2 years ago and found this resort to be similar. Although Dreams allows children + we visited during Spring Break, the resort currently has a lower occupancy, so we never felt like our trip was impeded by that. The beach at Dreams is cleaner and has less locals selling items. Most evenings we took in the sunsets while walking down the beach w/ cocktails in hand. Really liked the option of multiple pools--it seemed like certain times of day there were more kids in one pool or another, so we just moved to another one. The highlights -- Every staff member was so warm and gave us 5-star treatment. Jose went above and beyond in every interaction. Also Margarita and Viktor were wonderful. The spa was really beautiful and the technician who did my massage (Aurelia) was exceptional. Nora did a deep tissue massage for my husband that made him feel so much better! We went to Rhythms of the Night (excursion through Vallarta Adventures) which was a once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend! Some downsides -- with Covid and the lower occupancy, there were far less restaurants open. There were times we were hungry and didn't know where to eat. We never got to experience the Sushi restaurant on the top floor which is said to be amazing. The gym was closed while we were there (which I used as an excuse not to work out, haha). It was my birthday trip, so I had let the resort know ahead of time. They were very accommodating to try to make it a nice experience, but it fell short a couple times. We were supposed to have a private chef dinner one evening, but the chef never made an appearance. Also a staff member suggested that they wanted to send up a bottle of champagne to celebrate for my bday. I waited around for a while, but the bottle never showed up. Not a huge complaint, but I wouldn't have had that expectation otherwise. A lot of my cons I think will be mitigated when the resort is busier and there is more staff. Overall the resort is beautiful, the staff was so kind and fun and it was the perfect first vacation in a year and a half! We can't wait for our next trip at an AM resort!

Had a great time for the few short days we were there. They have amazing people that work for them, great service all around. Relaxing at the pool and had personnel approach multiple times to ask if we needed anything. :) Commenting for victor, tere, Eva, Adrian, Ketzali, Manuelito.

Dreams Villamagna was a fantastic place tp stay with my friend on our first trip to Mexico. The food was delicious and the pool was a perfect way to spend the sunny days! The staff always added a personal touch to the experience, especially Victor, Tere, Eva, Adrian, Ketzali, and Manuelito.

I want to start this review by saying that I have never written a review before. I have never had such a bad experience that would justify a review. I will make it as short as possible. Our reservation was a 1 week all inclusive package. When we arrived, they said that we only had made a reservation for breakfast only. If we wanted lunch and dinner (2 adults & 1 Child) it would cost an additional $ 850.00!! Yes you read that correctly! After hours of arguing with the least customer friendly managers in the industry, they convinced me to go to a time share meeting that would last one and a half hours, in order to get that $850.00 discounted to $350.00. I knew that it would be a nightmare but was willing to do it just to be able to start my vacation. I arrived the next morning at 8 am to start the meeting. The person at the booth asked me were my family was, I told them they were sleeping. She said that the offer was only valid if the entire family came...that is when I had enough. Bottom line, Lies, Deception, Scams and anything to get your money and annoy you. They would not let children in the jacuzzi at certain times, it depended on the mood of the security guard. Head of security came to ask my wife to get off the grass because she was using a lounge chair. No loungers on the grass!! Why??? The food was terrible most of the time. I spoke with multiple guests and they all had negative experiences at this hotel and said they would never come back. The most baffling thing of all is that it was a blatant disregard to customer service . A supposed "Luxury Resort" treating the customers like this was unbelievable. I have been to Mexico many times. This is a complete anomaly, management and the owners are the ones responsible for such a fiasco. If you want to have nightmares and want to throw away your money and your vacation time, go to Dreams Resort!

We enjoyed the beach here!!! Gerado and Veronica are amazing people and we truly enjoyed them throughout our stay!!! Several servers were outstanding at the restaurants: Jonathon, Joshue, Gilberto, Noe, and Ramon Ortego. E-Team members Alex, Julia and Ava are top notch!
