Very Good But....

Okay I really have mixed reviews about this resort. Here my honest thoughts from a regular person. This resort is perfect for younger people. Loud active pool that can be heard in the afternoon/evening all over the resort. They were really having a good time. The bars where many and well attended. The entertainment, mostly covered songs and rock music, and dancers with lots of black leather and stockings. The food was good and there was lots to choose from. Room was very clean, nice size and comfortable. Would I go back, No, not my taste.
Waste of money

Need better attentive staff. Just giving average. Like showing lazy, not wanting to be there vibes. Rude waiter at party pool (Kelvin). Very argumentative and no sense of urgency when paying extra for bottle service and section. We canceled, that’s how long it took. Horrible experience. Angel has always given us the best service and is fantastic. He must have been off that day. What happened to welcome greeting??? Just mediocre check in process. That was a first…probably will be my last time here. Better service my first 2 times there. Entertainment has went down. Bring back Looky and a few others. New guy just boring and no personality. Overall I must say Janna gets the 5 stars this time and that’s about it.
Do not bother … you can do better with other all-inclusive options in Punta Cana

My wife and I stayed at the Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic for seven nights during the week of February 26. If “Breathless Resorts & Spas are committed to redefining and elevating the all-inclusive experience”, the brand is falling short. You can definitely do better elsewhere based on our prior experiences in Punta Cana. - Poor room quality: We stayed in an Xhale Club Master Suite Ocean Front King, which is one level below the Presidential Suite. The indoor hot tub leaked due to a broken pipe (and was unusable). The outdoor hot tub was stained and dirty. The main shower had peeling caulk and thick mildew. Closing the balcony door behind you (necessary to keep the A/C running), resulted in being locked out of the room, as there are no exterior handles on doors that seal tightly when closed. The cabinet door for the mini-bar refrigerator was hanging off of one of the hinges. - NO incremental benefit to paying for Xhale Club: Our room selection provided access to the Xhale Club, which is supposed to provide an incremental benefit: “With Unlimited-Luxury, everything is included with your stay“ and “the options are endless, and it’s all included with our one-of-a-kind Unlimited-Luxury experience.” Other than the Xhale breakfast buffet, there were no meaningful additional benefits to paying for Xhale that non-Xhale guests could not access. We spoke with several other guests during our stay whose Xhale experience and sentiments matched ours. Furthermore, the “endless options” fall short of what you receive at competitor resorts (e.g., Iberostar) for a similar price. - Good luck getting a poolside chair: Every day we had to either hover for long periods until we saw people leave, opt to sit on the beach (not our preferred option), or go back to our room to sit on the balcony. Don’t ask for chairs to be brought out - there are no more. - Not enough bartenders: There were routinely long wait times to get drinks at the bar. This applied to the pool and lobby bars. Also, the mid-week evening pool party was promoted at starting at 8:30pm, but staff were not available until 9:30pm to open the bars. - Stock-outs of basic supplies: Bars routinely stocked out of select top-shelf liquors or beer in the middle the day. The pool regularly ran out of towels. Flip-flops in the spa (necessary for use of the hydrotherapy circuit) were not available … at 10am. - Don’t expect a benefit from World of Hyatt: If you are a WOH member or have tier status, it doesn’t matter at the Hyatt all-inclusive. You get NO benefit.
Find another place - stay away

Nicer places to stay.. Staff rude and care more about being on their phone, hotel dirty, you do get what you pay for. Unresponsive, liquor was watered down, ran out of alcohol, served rotten beer, does not offer what the website says. Would not recommend. Managenent needs better policies and care more about their guest then just filling up the place. Does not stand up to other Breathless locations.

The food in the buffet is not great, the specialty restaurants are best to eat at! I enjoyed my solo trip; the resort is definitely more “couples” and large parties so keep that in mind. If you’re a social butterfly, you’ll find friends there. The beach is beautiful!
