Wait times were long for food and drink regardless of restaurant or bar. Most staff were friendly, but others did not appear too happy to be working. Quality of food at the restaurants was mediocre at best and usually fully booked. Surprisingly, the buffet restaurants (no reservations required) were the most consistent and had the best tasting food options.

The Resort itself was quite big and had lots of restaurants and pools, the beach was amazing thats all the positives; however the rooms are quite outdated and rooms and toilets during checkin were dirty, one of the rooms did not have AC working and another room did not have Fan working, sinks and bathrooms were clogged, Al-a-carte restaurants needs reservation and the quality of food and service was mediocre or bad in some restaurants like Bhoghali, Bamboo. Bell boys at Grand Palladium PC were not too friendly and also the reservation desk. Very bad experience with children.

Room: - broken shower head - gaps in caulking where roaches were seen crawling out of - unfinished under sink you can see the moldy wood - shower gel, shampoo, conditioner were empty and never replenished - beds were old. Sheets were dirty on one of the beds. We never bothered using it. - couch in the room was worn out and sagging and very uncomfortable. - curtains were dirty. - under bed was not cleaned and remained dirty since day one. - only 3 plugs in the room that don’t fit standard charging bricks - closet area is old and falling apart. - minibar fridge did not get cold at all. Drinks were lukewarm. Drinks were inconsistently replenished. Fridge doesn’t hold much. Bathroom: -toilet has this odd plate that has a button to flush the toilet. The plate fell off. - shower water had weird smell. Never felt clean the entire time we used the shower. - mold everywhere as well as rust around trimming light switches and even the garbage bin. Pools: - disgusting murky water - if you got in the pool and your bathing suit dried you had the most disgusting stench on your skin. - tiles falling apart around pool area - hammocks were disgusting and never cleaned - the landscaping cleanup always resulted in debris in the pool Restaurant - - buffet had variety but quality was terrible - saw a fly in the fries and pointed it out. Staff removed the fly but didn’t throw away the food - for breakfast you had one person seating you, one person doing the cutlery, and one person doing cups and glasses. So you can’t order a glass of water unless someone comes over and sets up the glasses. Then you have to hope and pray the water guy comes to your tables. Same thing applies to coffee cups and the coffee guy. You were lucky to get a drink before your meal is done. Staff really don’t care. Tried the buffet at palace and it was a million times better. Overall - the worst vacation I’ve ever been on. This resort is a decade past renovations. The only redeeming quality is the nightly shows which were not bad. Although the bing show went on too long . You should manage your expectations. This is a 2 star resort at best. Note: this is my 10th trip to DR. Lastly, if you are POC …. avoid.

Beautifully landscaped resort with tons to do! Beach was awesome and pools were all great! Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Only negative was our mattresses were very uncomfortable.
