    Everything was perfect! We had a master suite swimout room right next to the beach bar! What could be better than that!? Waking up to picture perfect sunrises is heavenly and I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone :)

    I would like to start by saying the staff of this resort has had a pretty tough 18 months or so...closing in August of 2019 until October for renovations, then Covid-19 and then back to back hurricanes. Having said all of that, I have never met a happier group of people in my life. I never heard a single complaint but only saw smiles and cheerfulness. It was awesome and inspiring. The resort does a very fine job of keeping Covid protocols in place. Please do not complain if you have to wear a mask in the buffet line, or the theater or the preferred lounge. These are protocols you are probably already having to follow...it isn't any different because you're in Mexico on vacation. If this is something they have to do to stay open so we can visit, I'm all in. Now, for my real comments...I am not going to complain that only 2 restaurants are open each evening. They are at 35% capacity with a limited staff. We only had one evening out of 7 where we had to wait for 45 minutes. It wasn't a big deal for us and was mainly all about the timing of when we went. Yes, you can still see some of the damages left behind after all of the storms in the fall. Did we care? Nope. Again, this is not a big deal to us. They are working on things every day. We had a clean room every day so we were happy. The staff is why we come back every time. We have made friends with them and have not gotten this level of service anywhere. The entertainment team keeps everyone involved as much or as little as you want and are so good with remembering names from day to day. I would like the thank Luigi, Naomi, Karely, Omar, Julio, Javier for Zumba every day and to Ivan for always trying to get my husband out of his chair to do something. Alberto, thank you for always being so happy every morning. We look forward to seeing you every time we return. And lastly, our favorite bartenders Antonio and Cesar. You guys are the best and I say it to everyone. Antonio, you're our Amigo por siempre. I cannot say enough about the entire staff. My respect for all of them during these crazy times has risen to a new level. Every single person we came into contact with was kind and courteous and never made us feel unimportant. It really was hard to leave this time...I am always sad but this time was the hardest. We know we'll be back and we're already making plans. Thank you all! We'll see you soon!

    First time at an All-Inclusive

    The property and the pools are amazing!! Fun water slides too! Looks just like the pictures - very clean and well kept. All the staff was wonderful - very friendly and accommodating. ** Big shouts out to Moises, our waiter at breakfast (awesome), Diego and Iroshi, bartenders around lobby and pool - took wonderful care of us!! ** Food and meals were hit-or-miss, and a source of confusion for us: - We loved the Bluewater Grill menu, which was given to us at Cibu our first night.(?!) - Stood in line for 40 minutes in the afternoon to get reservations for the "Hibachi" meal served at Lemongrass. Not sure how anyone would know about this option, but we happened to overhear someone. - Enjoyed the pasta at Cibu on another night. -Was not impressed with the special Christmas Eve outdoor dinner / show. Music was MUCH too loud. They tried to make the meal fancier than it needed to be. Disappointing all around. Our bottom floor room was about average. Comfy bed, good water pressure in shower, but overall, a bit musty smelling. The room cleaners worked very hard, and were nice! * LOVED spending time out on the porch. There are lots of birds and animals to see. Our biggest complaint is the scam that is the "Preferred/VIP" package. After arriving later than midnight our first night there, this VIP desk called both our rooms at 9am (woke us up) to say we could come by and pick up our "Welcome Package". When we did, it was to invite us to go have breakfast at another one of their properties so we could sit through their sales pitch. In return, our property would give us 300 Resort Dollars to spend. HA!! No way were we going to do that. And they were shocked -- they found us around the pool / lobby area 2 more times just to make sure we hadn't come to our senses and changed our minds! -- This type of vacation is not something we would choose again. -- It was ok since we just wanted someplace warm to relax by a pool over Christmas week. But we would normally prefer to spend less on the accommodations and more going out exploring the city and local businesses. We are actually waiting patiently for cruises to start up again.

    Stayed Dec 26th- today Jan 1st. First let me start out by saying what type of vacationer we are. We are not high maintenance. All we ask for is a clean room, a comfortable bed and some decent food that we can enjoy the week. Second as a disclaimer we are members of the vacation club so this one of the resorts in our club. We had never been to a Now resort, always Dreams or Secrets but the price was too good over Christmas break to pass up so we booked it. Lastly we are 2 adults traveling to a “family friendly” resort. We don’t care about kids running around. There are plenty of other adults only folks here as well. The property is very well maintained. I included some pics. You can see where some trees got blown down from the recent hurricane but they have everything cut down or back so everything is well manicured. Our room was immaculate. ???????? Our room was like a meat locker. It was cold so no complaints about the AC. The mattress was very comfortable. ????????. That’s the first two checks on our list. They clean your room daily and do a turndown at night. Mini fridge restocked daily also. COVID- staff wear masks all the time. For vacationers we have to wear them to go into the restaurants or anyplace inside. Anywhere else it’s up to you. Place is at roughly 40% capacity. Menus are all on your phone via QR code at the door. Hand sanitizer stations pretty much everywhere and hand sanitizer was in the room also. You can see everything they are doing to make things safe online. Food- different from Dreams and Secrets. Not as large of a selection but we found something good to eat for every meal. Buffet is much smaller than Dreams and Secrets. Lemongrass- Asian themed food, Cibu- they say Mediterranean but it’s more like Italian. Blue water grille- American/grill food, Market Grill- this is the buffet, Fresco’s- Mexican, Pomadora- French and the Coco cafe for your coffee and pastries. For members you have the members club and a members only breakfast. All restaurants are allergy and vegan friendly. Restaurant staff was excellent. Sergio at the market cafe even came over to notify the staff working at the taco bar of my dietary restrictions so they made sure I only got gluten free food and he wasn’t even my waiter he had just remembered from a previous visit and glad he did because something I had planned to eat at the taco bar that I figured would have been gluten free wasn’t. Had some great offerings on New Years Eve, had a special dinner in one of the large meeting rooms. Even at the buffet had a great selection of food. Eduardo was super nice as well. Give a little tip and they remember you. ?? Entertainment- very good entertainment. Take a look at the Sun Dial that is posted every day for a complete list of activities. Lots of activities at the pool every day. Live music each night in the lobby bar along with other shows. (Fire show, Karaoke etc) The Rock Revival band was excellent. 80’s hard rock music. Spa- we always get a couples massage and hydrotherapy every year when we go on vacation. Typically it’s a half a day of luxury. Sadly I can’t say the same about this trip to the spa. We booked a 1 hour massage.(50 minutes) Usually you are escorted to the locker room where you are given a robe and slippers to proceed to the massage room. We were escorted directly to the massage room where we disrobed and got on the table for our massage. Massage was light and fast. Can’t believe it was 50 minutes and maybe it was our mistake and we usually get 90 minutes but honestly don’t remember. After the massage we went for hydro therapy. The hot tub was only 92 degrees. The smoke alarm kept chirping the whole time because it needs a new battery. Not idea. Overall it was a disappointment Beach is small. Water temp wasn’t bad. Warmer than the pool. The first few days a little seaweed then it got worse I think because winds picked up off the ocean. Would like to see them do a better job clearing the seaweed off the beach so that it was more picturesque but you can just step over it to go in the ocean. I’m sure due to capacity allowed and Covid they probably had to make cuts to staff for certain things. Weather- It was chilly and breezy at night. Check the weather. You may need to bring a long sleeve shirt/pants or pullover for nighttime. Explorers Club- looks nice, lots of activities seem to be going on. Right next to water slides which has a lifeguard. All I can comment on as we don’t have little kids with us. Staff- the staff is amazing. So friendly and attentive. Our favorite staff member was Victor at the pool. He kept checking in on us if we needed anything. ?? ?? Adults only pool- if you like it quiet on vacation there is an adults only pool. We walked through it but we like the music and activities at the regular pool and don’t spend time at the adults only pool when on vacation. Of course there is a bar poolside Overall- would I come here again. Absolutely.

    Great facility. Beautiful property. Will need a little work on after covid but really great resort. Stuff very friendly and attentive. Food at specialty restaurants is really good and served like at really expensive restaurants. Good wine selection for an all-inclusive resort. Entertainment just fabulous. Night shows are ok but a few are awesome. The Elements Show, the cirques show are must see shows. Nightly band in the lobby is a great way to shed some calories at the end of the day.
