    Subdued during COVID

    Beautiful resort & very friendly staff! Our stay was nice, relaxing, but almost boring due to all the COVID restrictions. We did feel very safe, but wish there could have been more action. Not much to do at all.

    I’ve stayed at a Grand Palladium and had a wonderful stay but this resort was disappointing to say the least. We came to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday on 10/24. We arrived at the resort around 6:30pm. Check in was easy. Sanitation process was good. Made it to the room. We had a romance bungalow. The deck had several broken boards. I assume maybe from the hurricane that came through a couple of weeks prior but after speaking to different employees we were advised that the hurricane didn’t actually affect this resort and area. We requested to move the next morning and the front desk moved us. It was downhill from there. The new room was absolutely horrible. The curtains were or attached to the curtain rod and they would not close. We had to call the front desk to have those repaired because who wants to be in a room with no privacy option. We had dinner reservations for the Thai restaurant for 7:30 and called for the shuttle to take us but they never came. We had to call 4 different times and the receptionist kept telling us it would be 10 mins or “I’ll call u back” and never did. Finally in the the 5th call we asked for a supervisor. By this time we had missed our reservations and seeing as there were only two restaurants open we had to wait and hope they could fit us in. Needless to say we didn’t get dinner until after 9pm. Later on after heading back to te room, we decided to take a bath I. The jacuzzi tub and it didn’t work then all the power in the room went out. Called the front desk and maintenance came and flip a breaker then left and not 5 mins after they left it we t out again. We flipped it this time and 5 mins later it went out again. This time it was a different breaker and our room filled with the smell of smoke. Maintenance came back and moved us a 3rd time. By now it’s 2 am and we’ve been here exactly 1 day and on top of that Tropical Storm Zeta was set to come thru the next day. My gf’s bday was ruined before any storm effects ever happened. The customer service sucked and the rooms are In need of some serious maintenance/updating. I’m so disappointed and will never return to any Grand Palladium resort!!!! Oh and employees hound you to join the travel club from the moment u step foot on the resort! Horrible!!!!

    Traveled with my wife celebrating her birthday October 10-17. First off let me say that any hesitation about traveling to Mexico was put to rest upon our arrival at Grand Palladium White Sands. Every employee and I mean everyone of them was wearing masks 100% of the time. Rooms were sealed for 24 hours meaning no occupancy at a minimum for 24 hours prior to our arrival! Great job Palladium! Check in. Hats off to Vanessa who simplified the process getting us the building and floor we desired. Vanessa also assisted in arranging special birthday dinner celebration for my wife. Additionally she recognized that this was our 8th Palladium visit. Activities. What can we say....ADRIANA the activity coordinator is awesome and absolutely the best we have experienced in all our travels! Adriana does it all from Aqua gym to Zumba to Healthy drink mixing and more. In my opinion Adriana should be promoted to guest relations Director. She does everything she can to get people involved ensuring to spend time with the guests getting to know them! Great job and great person always with a smile on her face. Dining. Perhaps the biggest Change as some restaurants were closed however the staff adjusted well by setting up daily BBQ’s on the beach with something different each day. We thought this was great and is something to consider as a permanent change as it provides a better beach/pool experience and after all.....that is why most travel there. GABRIELLE was a star standout! She is the hostess with the mostest. Always visible from the restaurants to the beach she is simply great. Gabriella even assisted in getting us in without a reservation once. From breakfast buffet to the beach bar pavilion to evening diner she was always there! If I were starting a restaurant versus finance I would hire her to direct my floor operations. Beach bar staff. ALFREDO and crew including Acinto, Urnustiano,Ue and David did an outstanding job mixing and serving up any drink offered up all the wile wearing masks. They did a phenomenal job in making all feel special with greetings and smiles even though we couldn’t actually see the smile. In Summary Grand Palladium White Sands exceeded every expectation and eased away all our fears about traveling during this pandemic. We felt completely safe and in fact elected to stay the entire 7 days on property as the staff mentioned made us feel totally relaxed. Normally we visit an attraction or two but this time felt the need to just chill. Thank you Grand Palladium!,

    I have been in most of the palladium hotels and I always enjoy my stay. The employees are amazing. Excellent service. Even when the pandemic is limiting the capacity for guess, the service is excellent

    Let me first say that this is our 8th visit to the Palladium and we are VIP guests as a result. The property just reopened 10/1 and this review is ONLY about the “US$1500 Resort Credits” as part of the package. Buyer beware! We have tried to use them...at the spa ($430 in credit coupons in the book). For each of the services including $60 in the Spa Store - it has been met with “those are not applicable”, “the spa package service is no longer on our menu” or the “spa store is for lotions and we don’t have those anymore”. Also, there are not $1500 in coupons in the booklet...there are $1440. Splitting hairs I know since so far we have been able to actually use $0, but worth mentioning. So, when your travel agent tells you about the $1500 in resort credits - don’t count on being able to use them!!!
