Beautiful Stay

My sister and I visited my brother who had stage 4 lung cancer. I was going to stay at another hotel but my sister & her husband invited me to the Argonaut as their guest. It’s located close by the wharf area, Ghiaradelli’s and the In and Out Burger. You couldn’t ask for a better location. The room was very clean & comfortable and had a nice homey feel to it. The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent- especially the coffee. We all agreed on that ! I don’t know if I’ll return ever to San Francisco. My brother died on May 4 which was very, very sad for our family. The Argonaut is something I’ll remember as a good memory when there was few.

To begin with is we stayed at the hotel in May 2018. Catching up my stays ??. We had a double queen bedroom and it was a very nice room. Good beds nice bathroom. This hotel is situated near fisherman’s warf! It is a very good location to visit alcatraz. A nice walk to the golden gate bridge ( couple of miles up and down ) nice restaurants nearby but some of them are pricey. ( it is a big city so it’s normal ) Had a great stay at the hotel and the staff was very friendly!!!
Great service considering situation

Our trip was cut short because the state shut down due to Covid and we had to get back to UK. I just want to mention that the Aronaught made us feel welcome even though staff were worried about their jobs, worried about Covid etc. The place was thoroughly clean and we felt safe in our few days we were there. On leaving they waived our resort charges due to the situation (which was a help as we had to pay extra for early flight) we obviously experienced Fishermans Wharf in the worse time but if we ever return - will definitely go to the Argonaught.
Loved to spend a weekend there

While traveling I always choose local hotels with their authentic design and great service instead of faceless chain hotels. This one will be my best recommendation for a stay in San Francisco. The stuff was absolutely wonderful and gave us a caring and personal treatment. The location of the hotel was very handy for walks in the city. Even it is a very lovely area please be aware that you are best to be back before dark.
A little on the pricey side.

The location is the best advantage to this hotel. The valet and the resort fees are a bit over the top! The restaurant is good, but there are better ones within a ten minute walk. The museum is worth a couple of hours of your time, and the price is right!
