1:31am pull up. Valet comes up per usual. That's fine. I ask a out check in he answers sir we have valet here only. Way to not answer my question. I ask about parking, he responds sir public parking is 2 blocks away if you prefer. Its 1:31am. No tint on my car. I have a sleep wife and 2 sleeping toddlers. That snyder comment about parking 2 blocks away. I mean really... WTF! In fact I'll do you 1 better. I promptly replied as I stepped out of my vehicle at this point. "F**k walking, do you see a sleeping family in my car?" He then replies valet is $64 dollar sir. I reply I dont care if its $200 for parking. Now can I check in? The help then proceeds to waves me towards the entrance. I go up 2 sets of escalators. I walk up to the wait line at the check in registration. 5 employees standing in a circle talking. No one acknowledges me, 3 of the 5 turn to look at me then proceed on their conversation. Once they finish their banter, 2 walk away and one steps aside to her post and smiles at me, then continues to stare for an awkward while, I guess pretending that was good enough to beckon myself to her desk, i stare back. Now purposefully blankly, an awkward pause of seconds proceeds and then as she begins to squirm in her skin it appears, motions me over. Not even a how can I help you. No welcome to Hyatt. At this point I'm a happy, I'm ecstatic just to be here, I'm beyond elated that I'm ready to spend my $ here. She goes on blah blah gibberish. Parking is $74.36. Oh okay. There is tax on valet. No problem. But then she looks at me with this disgust and judgement that I asked about the valet increase cost. At this point I walk out. I drive myself Sunnyvale and get myself a room elsewhere. Condescension and complete utter disregard and excessive, flagrant disrespect TO MY FACE. My Hyatt membership #534307560N - I'll be reaching out in the morning to terminate that Just to let you all know what fecal grade of service I received.. Oh and dont trouble yourselves, don't bother having some corporate Chad waste my air. I'm calling in the morning to close my Hyatt Visa and terminate membership, and I will proceed to spew venom about and towards Hyatt for the rest of my remaining days. I can't wait to share with everyone about this memorable experience. Itll be on Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, every single outlet that mentions this location, but my experience was so special I'm making it my personal image to share how the brand as a whole is now tarnished for my family. Treat people better this. There is no making this right, and now Hyatt didnt just lose a customer, it earned a hater for life!

Great hotel. Close to many SF amenities. Great staff. Made a last minute booking to add a room and was pleasantly surprised that the room rate was lower than my existing booking. The hotel representative was able to adjust my existing room to the new much lower rate. Great bargain at a great SF iconic hotel.

This felt like a stay at a 1980s small city hotel. Dated rooms. Nobody in the hotel smiled even once; everyone just seemed miserable. It was fine, just not a four star experience, more like two stars.

Good hotel, location good if you want to be at the Embarcadero / Ferry Terminal

Stayed there on business. Asked for a quiet room and checked in on line, so pretty smooth. Stayed on the 10th floor with a bay view. Others had commented on the noise but I found it quiet with a nice view. I certainly could not hear my neighbours. Room was large and clean with a fridge and coffee maker. Plenty of plug sockets and USB ports. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel design is very interesting and worth visiting just to look at the atrium. Location wise: very handy for the BART and MUNI, particularly if coming from the airport as I was - $9.15 using a Clipper card and took under 30 minutes at 6 pm. Hotel literally next to the station. Great coffee shop next door (Philz) open at 5.30 am. Handy for Ferry building food shops. Can just hop on the F car to Fisherman's wharf. 15 minute walk to all the shops around Union Square (2 stops on the MUNI). I wanted to stay at the Embarcadero, so ideal for me.
