We were put up at the Coco Palm by Air Canada because our flight out was cancelled. The rooms were decently clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. Just two bath towels in a room with two double beds. the shower was a bit odd, with a half wall separating it from the rest of the bathroom, instead of any door or curtain. Food at the restaurant was just ok, not great. The takeaway breakfast choices were either a tuna sandwich or cheese sandwich, so we passed on that option. The staff were well prepared for the last-minute arrival of a busload of travellers sent from the airport, and were courteous. Having just spent a week at a different resort that was truly spectacular with luxury accommodations, the Coco Palm was something of a contrast.

Been there on more than one occasion but only for dinner. The staff are amazing. The menu had great variety but it all depends on what interest you at the table. Evening wasn't bad although we felt that the food could have been tastier. After all taste is relative.

    We loved it!

We have just returned from 10 days at Coco Palm. It is a smaller, privately owned resort and has genuine Caribbean hospitality. It is not Sandals or a 5 star Spanish brand this is the proper Caribbean as demonstrated by the number of guests from neighbouring islands. From the moment we walked in carrying a fast asleep child the staff could not do enough to help and the male receptionist came straight over to assist us. We chose the hotel primarily for the pool as a lot of hotels we considered had small pools and our children would be bored. We weren’t disappointed the pool is great and kept them busy. We had a swim up room with the intention of using it if the kids needed a nap which didn’t happen but we liked the room and facility. Rooms are nice and modern, bathrooms are functional not flash but typical of this kind of hotel in the Caribbean and it all worked. Food is good but some meals better than others. Breakfast is great, everything you would expect and omelette station. Lunch is good lots of choice. The evening a la carte menu is somewhat limited if like me you don’t eat fish. We also found the evening food can be very slow even when ordering something quite simple which is very frustrating when you’re British and it’s midnight on your body clock and you’re waiting for your tea! Several times we waited 45 mins plus for a pasta. You just have to accept it’s Island time and have another drink. The menu is also quite limiting at night if you have fussy kids however they do the most amazing chicken fingers if you ask - these should be put on the main menu as they are awesome! The menu gets broken up a little by buffets once a week and pizza night which is good and the Creole restaurant opened one night whilst there, again it is fish heavy but what I had was v tasty and the chef came out to say hello. Drinks are good, the wine is decent. Cocktails are great. The restaurant staff are lovely and I am shocked by some of the negative comments I read before I went. I can only imagine rudeness is reflective of how some guests treat them - as an example a man pushed in front of me in the breakfast queue shouting for his sunny side up eggs (you can guess the nationality!) because he was so rude the chef ignored him and asked me what I wanted. Guest started to kick off a bit. Chef gave a stare then served him. Fair play to the chef! (and if you are reading this weird little man with your lunchbox - yes I am talking about your behaviour you should be ashamed!) Big shout out to the lovely staff especially Princess who has an ability to anticipate what you need before you do and keeps the drinks flowing and kindly brings mayonnaise instead of hot sauce! Thanks to Sherwan for decorating the table for our girls and to Lise for being just lovely. Thanks also to Peppy for her tips. Other more general things about the island.... - it is expensive, trips average around £300 for a family of four, there are lots of great things to do but when you have spent a fortune to get there and compare the activity prices to what it would be in the UK it stings and feels as though you are being rinsed - food and drink is expensive £100 a time so definitely go all inclusive - the horse riding trip is incredible and less expensive than others put it on your list - the island suffers a lot with litter and this is particularly noticeable on the walk to the beach, it is such a shame in such a beautiful country and this really needs to be addressed - at the weekend at night you get a lot of “after party” noise on both Friday and Saturday with people in cars with “boom boxes” for want of a better word - again this needs to be addressed at 2am right by the hotels - it’s also right by the police station so not exactly hard! Fair enough have a weekend party but let your tourists sleep. In summary this is a great place and well worth a visit.

This was my third visit to Coco Palm Resort, St. Lucia. Service is at the top of my list, that is why I keep going back to Coco Palm. I trusted their service so much that I convinced my daughter and her fiance to get married at Coco Palm. The Ceremony was held in the garden and the Reception was held in one of their conference rooms. The continuous communication for every arrangement between myself and the various personnel in the different departments allowed my daughter's wedding to be perfect. Ms. Raquel Wilson and Ms. Alta King was responsible for all the arrangements with the venue and the actual wedding ceremony and reception. I dealt more with Ms. Wilson and she was really efficient. She was always available by email or phone, even if not at the same time.Thank you Raquel. Ms. Diana Durancie was responsible for the accommodations for our guests and she was really efficient as well. The guests had a smooth check in and check out process. Thank you Diana. Ms. Peppy Albert was responsible for return transfers from the airport, great job Peppy. As the group was large, she came to greet us at the airport to ensure all was great. Thank you Peppy. Reception was great as usual, excellent housekeeping. A variety of meals as usual, great serving staff. Thank you to Ms. Patricia, Kylie, Garnet, Lisie and others. A special thanks to the serving staff at the reception, Shannon and team, great service. You all contributed to the success of the event, thank you. The bar staff, thank you Dwight, Aldrick, Christian and others, great job!!!. As I did before, I would recommend Coco Palm for any event, they are very efficient. The suites and swim up rooms are an excellent choice, if not try the pool view rooms.
