We are local and not in our home due to a flood. We are living in various hotels currently. This hotel seriously needs televisions made this century. I kid you not, they must be original to the Erickson wing in the early 90's. Must be the first flat-screen. Small screen like 36" if lucky. No HDMI ports. Don't expect to use your stick or Roku for your Netflix. They have regular TV or you can pay a month's Netflix fee to rent one of the movies from a very poor selection. It's COVID, there is no nightlife, so you end up in your room. Also they need to get some heat in the bathroom. The bathroom is massive and every surface is dated stone that is not heated so it's freezing on your feet and this hotel doesn't provide slippers like every other hotel has this month. There is no heat source in the bathroom at all. Bring slippers. The glass shower walls are scary. They move because of the way they are installed. It's amazing no one has been injured. Seriously don't be having sex and leaning on the glass in any way. You could be seriously injured when the glass wall falls onto the toilet. The view we had was lovely from the deck. The location is great.
Staycation excellence!

Classy, comfortable, clean, romantic. Perhaps the top choice in the city. Being a local, we often visit the restaurant, but a recent promotion made i decide to stay for a few days. It was magical. Great views, an active waterfront with otters, seals, kayakers, tug boats, rising and falling Bridges, sea planes and so much more. It was terrific. I can't think of a better choice. We loved that during covid-19 they allowed private one room at a time use of the pool. It was an immense pleasure to experience. Job well done!

Stayed a night, and dinner then brunch at Aura. Amazing location, walking trails, views, room was incredible, outstanding service. Aura will definitely see us again. Night 'away' and dinner a gift from kids for Christmas, for a staycation. Loved it.
Beautiful Hotel

I bought the BC Ferries Vacation Package for a 3 night stay at the Laurel Inn Hotel, which included a return ferry from Vancouver to Victoria. The hotel is absolutely amazing with beautiful views of the harbour and city. The hotel staff are the very friendly and attentive to your needs. The room that I was in had a view of the harbour and city, very beautiful at night. One minor downfall was Christmas dinner, not what I expected, it could have been better. The hotel is situated within walking distance to the BC Royal Museum, the Legislative Building and many attractions and restaurants. I give this hotel a 5 Star Rating.

We stayed here for a week, 3rd floor at the Laurel wing. The views from our balcony are breathtaking. Their lobby is vibrant and welcoming. The restaurant has great food, although a little pricey. The location is about 15 min walk to the heart of the city. Will stay here again.
