We stayed at the Boardwalk Villas for 3 nights in February 2021, the room was SPOTLESS !! The resort enforced all COVID policies- (mask wearing over nose and mouth), keeping pool chairs socially distant between groups, mobile check in. Cast members were even cleaning pool chairs between guests!!! I will absolutely return!

Our first trip here, but it wont be the last!

The BoardWalk has been on our shortlist for years. We finally got to try it out this trip, and it did not disappoint. The walking proximity to Epcot and HS, can't be beaten. We stayed on the DVC side and were very happy with the rooms. Like the Polynesian, they sleep five and have good size. I do wish they had the split bath like the Poly, but these are a bit older. The service was great, the rooms were fantastic, and the location can't be beaten. We will stay here again.

Sequestered on a man made lake with open air boats and a host of restaurants, the boardwalk resort offers it all. The rooms are high end and the location is tantamount to fun and excitement. With bars opening January 2021, this is the place to be. State of the art gym. Take the skyway or visit the theme parks. Epcot’s backyard. Hollywood studios is a few boat stops away.

Love Boardwalk, just not during Covid

We have stayed at Boardwalk before and loved it. This time not so much. You need to be aware that there are no boats at this time between Boardwalk and Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Bus transportation is available to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs only. This means you have to walk to Epcot and Hollywood. So if you have elderly people in your party, a scooter is a must. They have also suspended service to get purchases delivered to rooms and of course no extra magic hours. Generally there is an energetic, fun vibe at Boardwalk, but the Bakery, the Italian restaurant, and the gift shop are all that is open. There is nothing to do at night, which is important especially since the parks close so early. I do have to give a shout out to the lady at the front desk from NY, don’t remember her name but she went out of her way to help us. The bell hop again not so much. Very rude when I asked for a luggage cart. At a resort like this, the bellhops should carry luggage for you. I honestly feel like I should’ve stayed off property this time because there were none of the usual perks. Could’ve saved a lot of money.

    Disney Mardi Gras

We haven’t had a trip to Disney World in 9 years when we decided this year to go for Mardi Gras break. My husband has always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk so we thought this would be the perfect time. We had both our kids with us, ages 9 and 14, and we got one room for the 4 of us. While it is probably the last time we can all squeeze into one room there really wasn’t a space problem. Our daughter snapped up the twin bed in the sofa and was comfortable all week..and she is really tall and still has space. The 3 of us split the two queen beds comfortably. The room had a nice, quiet, view of the garden area. We absolutely loved this resort. The look and feel of the place was so great and the amenities gave us freedom to come and go as we pleased. My husband and I ate dinner at the Italian restaurant one night while the kids played around the resort and got dinner on their own (which is where those bands come in real handy for them). There were things going on at the Boardwalk every night from movies on the lawn for the kids to performers just outside all the stores. Having the general store and a choice of restaurants right within walking distance gave us options outside of eating at the parks. One big perk is the ability to walk right to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It is a short walk either left or right to one of the parks and we really enjoyed the ability to walk back and forth without having to wait for transportation. We did take the boat one time and it was a fun ride but not necessary unless you just can’t walk one more step! The staff was so pleasant and able to answer the few questions we had. The bar was great for a drink and we ended up using the laundry facilities twice. One thing we did notice is that even though there are a lot of children around (after all it is Disney), it never felt like it. Unlike the time we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, we found the Boardwalk a quieter option, not really noticing kids yelling and being loud. Could be the time of year or it could just be that having more outdoor space lessens the noise. Overall I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for something relaxing and very unique. Our kids asked us on day 2 if we could make this our hotel the next time we go back. We definitely will.
