Little slice of heaven

Absolutely beautiful resort and the service was unbelievable. This was our first time in Hawaii and they made it such a great first experience. The food has been top notch as well as all the live music. The staff is very friendly and it is truly a getaway. I will definitely be coming back.

You won't regret coming here

My husband and I stayed here at the hotel for 8 nights and it was nothing but relaxing. The hotel is absolutely beautiful despite it's being older than to other five-star establishments. We love the architecture and the landscape of the hotel. We stayed in a partial ocean view room. We got an angled view of the ocean but it's okay as I was made aware by the staffs and the reviews online. The room itself was so spacious and had good sound proofing walls. I am a light sleeper and I don't like sleeping on beds that are not mine. But I had the best sleep during our stay. The mattress was comfy and the pillows were so soft. The bathroom is big with huge mirror. My only problem with the bathroom was that the housekeeping staffs never refilled the bottles and water drainage wasn't very good. But those were all minor points and didn't really bother us. The resort also has a lot of activities for guests. We did the hula dance, lei making, coconut leaves weaving, canoe-ing, on-site garden/bee-farm tour and all of the activities were so much fun. I recommend doing them all while you're there. I missed the story telling session as it was cancelled due to the weather. The beach was also very nice and calm, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The water was so warm, even at 6:30-7am. I think that it's the best time to swim as there weren't that many people around. We also splurge on the seaside couple massage on our second day and it was worth every penny. We felt so relaxed and refresh and truly felt we were on vacation. There are also free yoga classes everyday. I did the morning seaside class every other day at 7 am (thank you jetlag) to start off the day while my husband went for a swim in the ocean. By the time we finished, we are ready for breakfast at the Orchid Court. Daily breakfast was good. The staffs were super very friendly. We purposely wanted to get breakfast at the hotel as we didn't want to spend hours on the phone trying to figure out what we want for breakfast. We tried everything on the menu and our favorites were the papaya with granola, Belgium waffles and the fresh juice. We also had 1 dinner at the Brown's at sunset hours. The shrimp app was very very yummy and fresh but it was too salty for our taste. The fish entrees were also very good. I had the daily special (fresh catch with pumpkin ravioli) and my husband got the kampachi. We loved our entrees as everything was well seasoned and fresh. We got complimentary dessert as it was our honeymoon. Overall, it's 10/10 experience for us. We loved every single minute of our trip and we hope to be back sometimes in the future. We will recommend this resort to our friends and family.
