First time back in Vegas in years!

I've been to Vegas a few different times but never stayed at Planet Hollywood so I thought I'd give it a try. Upon entering the lobby, we noticed nothing but self check in kiosks with minimal staff. I've been working in Hospitality for about 10 years now and was genuinely surprised that there wasn't anyone actually behind the front desk. I spoke to one of the guest service reps and asked if this was due to covid...the gentleman said they had a few kiosks pre-covid but once covid got bad and staff was laid off/quit, they added more kiosks After figuring out the kiosk situation, we went up to the room and weren't too thrilled about it, so I went back downstairs and was able to speak to someone and not only was she able to move our room, she also upgraded us to a view of the strip! (I'm so sorry I cannot remember her name). The room was so much better and the view was fantastic! We didn't request housekeeping for our stay but just asked for extra towels and never had any issues with those requests. We didn't eat at any of the hotel's restaurants or bars so overall, I would recommend this property based off of cleanliness and location.

Decent HOtel

Great Room location. The size is good for a family. Poor lighting in the main room. No in room coffee and a long way to get some. The remote did not work and the in room safe was locked. I had to text to get both fixed. I asked where the front desk was and was told the lobby. The only thing in the lobby which is in the garage is kiosk to check in and out and a Starbuck/ Gift shop. you never get a human only a text message.

Run, don’t walk… and get away! Raw sewage in their showers!

If I could rate less, I would. I thought the worst of the stay was behind me— housekeeping blowing our requests off for the first three days of our stay, realizing they no longer offered coffee setups in the room (who doesn’t have coffee)???? But this morning, as I was packing up to leave, I attempted to take a shower. When I opened the shower door I knew that the awful smell I was smelling was RAW SEWAGE that had backed up into a pool in the bottom of our shower. I immediately called the desk. They “graciously” comped us for the last night, but frankly, knowing that the other days I was drinking from the tap and bathing in what could have been sewage leaves me less than thrilled. I spoke to the manager Vickie but without filing an EMT/ police report she would nothing to else and unfortunately, we had to leave to catch a plane. Hopefully we don’t get sick!

New owners of casino are terrible. Go to another hotel

I have written many 5 star reviews for this hotel over the years but not anymore! Ever since the El Dorado bought out the Caesars properties, it has been down hill. They have fired many of the senior staff, supervisors and employees in the hopes of saving money but causing a lack of good service. I tried for several days to get a toilet issue and lack of housekeeping fixed. Had to go back to lobby and ask them to fix because no one was answering the phone at housekeeping or maintenance. You will also receive low rating from table game supervisors because the new owners are cheap and don't care about the players. Pick another hotel !!!

Our 2nd stay at PH!

This is our 2nd visit and the longest stay (3N). Because of COVID, the lobby is manned by kiosks and 2 desk staff depending on what time of the day you are checking in. Poor lighting in the lobby makes self check-in at the kiosks very difficult as I can hardly see the buttons. The room is spacious and clean. But the bath towel with holes and tear is a downer. Called help desk and was connected to a 3rd party outside USA. It took forever for them to replace decent towels. While the desk table in the room is appreciated, there is no table lamp. If you are looking to do some paperwork, good luck trying to see in the dark as there is not much overhead lighting in the room except for wall light by the bed and one stand alone lamp post by the window. After this visit, we will definitely consider a different hotel the next time we visit Vegas.
