Great vacation

Had a wonderful week at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro. The resort is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our personal concierge Starling had everything organized for us. Even making last minute changes to our schedule he would be happy to help us. He is a warm, engaging, and professional person. Other staff that were great...Ortiz in the buffet, Eddie at the pool bar, and Carlos at the beach. They all made this a very memorable and fun vacation for my girlfriend and I.

Week in Dominican

Enjoyed our stay in Dominican. Staling, our personal butler, was fantastic. Catered to our every need. Carlos, Ery and Ortis served us well. Thank you. Rooms are exceptionally maintained. Overall, food was 3.7/5.

Could be so much better.

The resort is beautiful the staff do there best for what they are given to work with. The rooms are nice but no more chocolate covered strawberries in the rooms when you arrive. The bottle of champagne is also absent in the room. The breakfast buffet was missing yogurts and only had half the selection of fruits, and if you asked for these items from the kitchen staff it was clearly evident that they were sick of getting asked. When we talk to the main dest manager that changed happened. The lunch buffet was clearly inadequate in size and only enough seating for 100 people when the resort has 560 at max. It was over max as the condo's they rent out were occupied. To over crowded for a covid-19 application. The food was always cold, so we walked over to the Coral club to eat breakfast and lunch most day instead of fighting the crowds. The morning pool chair reserveing was as bad as a 4 star resort, not enough cabanas for all guests around the pool. There was many other issues well we were there 2 week's, I am sure you get the piont, the management need some polishing. These are all hotel problems you would expect at a 4 star resort but are happening at the Iberostar Grand DR, it used to be so much better. If it weren't for the entertainment staff who roamed the resort to make you feel so welcome, it wouldn't have been as much fun. The Iberostar Grand is a nice place just not a true 5 star anymore. It may sound like I am complaining but when there is something else every day they start to add up. Enjoy your travels. Cheers

Honeymoon November 2021

Our 2 week vacation was amazing from start to finish. We were greeted by the friendly staff and escorted to our room in no time. We had the privilege of having one of the best butlers on site (Darlyn). He was absolutely amazing. He made our stay one we will never forget. The staff at this resort go above and beyond. This is one of the main reasons we will be coming back in the future. A special shout out goes to Ery at the pool bar for his enthusiasm and amazing drinks, Juan Alberto and Wilfred did an outstanding job at the restaurants. Yary the hostess at the Japanese restaurant was always friendly and welcoming and super attentive. The food at this resort gets 5 stars, there wasn't a meal or item we had that wasn't outstanding. Having top shelf drinks throughout the resort was great to see. Although it was a bad year for seaweed the resort did a great job of clearing the beach every morning. The pool waiters/waitresses were all outstanding. And a special thanks to the gardener for always having fresh coconuts for us every morning. The iberostar golf course was in outstanding and the staff there were all friendly and attentive especially the starter and clubhouse staff. I was able to enjoy 6 rounds during my stay and look forward to playing again in the future.

Grand Bavaro Punta Cana

Augusto and Manuel who served us on the beach were the best servers who made our beach days amazing. They make a great team. Next time we book we will make sure they are on duty ! Food is always exceptional and the people are great. Erbin, Ana and his colleagues at the buffet restaurant just to name a few made our stay special as well. Armando and Johanna are awesome at boosting everyone’s spirits. Mr Chelli and Edison at aqua fit and yoga were great too. Third visit here and it feels like home.
