Loved our experience here. Large enough property that we got our steps in but every restaurant, buffet, bar, and amenity was perfect. Beautiful beach, never a long wait for a drink. Highly recommend the cabaret show as well - worth the add on price for an incredible experience!
Magical honeymoon adventure
Oct 17, 2021
My husband and I got married in April 2021 and due to the pandemic we delayed our honeymoon. We couldn't have felt safer with the precautions they took for the guests and employees. My husband had taken his father to the Grand Palladium three years earlier. They couldn't wait for me to experience the luxury and compassion of this resort.
We had magical moments. We were greeted with fresh towels and cocktails at check in. Ernesto the bell man took us to our suite the first night and followed up with us for the whole stay. Our daytime bellman Caesar was concerned about my broken toe and not only limited our walking but seemed concerned it was healing. Our other night bellman was Samuel who even served us on his birthday.
The dining was excellent at most of the restaurants, but I would recommend looking over the menu before making reservations (several restaurants didn't have offerings that meet our dining preferences). Our favorite food was El Dorado which served an excellent filet mignon. Samptuori was such great food and show we went twice. The Poseidion had unexpected charm. We were driven to the beach by the bell man. Our song played as we walked up and we had a private table isolated from the small crowd. The Mahi mahi was excellent.
The best service we received at the beach restraunt was from Leoranda at the beach bar who recognized and anticipated our needs. She was quick and kind and efficient. Very refreshing after a tiring morning.
The most outstanding service we received at the resort was from Estaphania who served us breakfast abs both LA Dahlia and La Hacienda. After a three year absence she recognized my husband and knew how he liked his coffee. On day one my latte read "happy honeymoon" and on the final day the message was "see you next year. "
SEVERAL last hints. The tangerine juice is a must try. The beach was well maintained. The pool brought awe. The fire show and white party were a must do.
We can't wait to go back. This place had adventure and was a perfect resort to recharge.

This was our second time to the property. The pools and the grounds were spotless. Everyone was kind and accommodating. Make a la carte reservations asap. Sumptuori Tepan Cooking was as good as I've ever had. Ribs and more was good, and the filet mignon at El Dorado was perfect. Poseidon Seafood Restaurant was romantic and on right on the sand! The other a la carte restaurants were mediocre at best.
The bellman were amazing, Ernesto, Caesar, and Samual (Sammy) picked us up dropped us off and helped us with everything and anything we needed. Just ask and they will accommodate your requests. Please remember to tip these folks consistently. Some people forget what a difference small regular gratuities mean to these people.
My favorite server was Estephania Tamay Tamay. She was one of the reasons we came back to the resort. Kind, thoughtful and provided amazing service. She is usually at La Dahlia at breakfast. Go say hi!
The awareness and seriousness which they took this COVID situation was top notch. They were so concerned about safety that I felt more secure at Palladium than I do at home in Las Vegas, NV.
Amazing location, lots to do and see! Or you can also just suck up amazing pina colodas while gazing at the Caribbean.Heavenly!
The quality of everything, the massive facilities make this resort an amazing yet really high value vacation. We'll be back!
another great week
Oct 17, 2021
The good: the week flew by and wish we had more time. Great area and great pools. We will be back.
There was some construction at the time so only 1 lobby out of 3 open. Made for lines at guest services and front desk. Web site for making dinner reservations did not work so made lines at guest services even longer.
Had a room issue which wasted 1 day but was resolved and the entire week just flew by.
Covid protocols made us feel safer than at home
So Much Potential

This resort is beautiful and had many fine accommodations for guests. But I would say the resort is not run particularly well. There are problems with communication and understanding with service staff. All of the staff appear to be well meaning and very nice. Responses in English tend to be hurried and difficult to understand so some patience is required. But responses to service requests are answered promptly. The property is clean and the pools and beach are wonderful. The food is fair. Make reservations for the rib and steak restaurants as soon as you can. The buffet restaurant is a real wonder with pretty good food. Room service food is not good and there is a $10 service charge not included in all inclusive packages. Find out who your butler is right away.
