Extremely upsetting & unsatisfactory stay. I went to Chateau Whistler during the pandemic and the level of cleanliness was appalling. The very basic wiping down of bathroom faucets, table tops, TV cabinet etc was missing, leave alone sanitizing the room. It was one of the the deadliest and worst experiences of my entire life's experience staying in a hotel. The staff were not so pleasant either and despite requesting a specific type of room in advance, my request could not be accommodated. A soul-less, distasteful and horrific experience that will live in my memory for the rest of my life. I am not the kind of person who goes publicly on social media disgracing things, even if they should be, but I will be sure to share my painful experience at Fairmont with my family & friends.
I have been a huge Starwood/Marriott Hotel chain fan and can't wait to go back to them for my future hotel stays.
Always the best

Whistler Fairmont is always to best choice for our weekend getaways. Be it the location, the wonderful staff, the comfortable rooms or the courtesy bus to and from the village (smile) it never fails to impress.
Beware of hidden charges...

I stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Whister last week with a friend. The hotel was decent - great restaurant options and good fitness/pool amenities. The rooms are outdated (think dark carpets and 90's furnishings), but had great showers and comfy beds. Overall, I was really happy with my stay until I checked out. We paid for the room in full when we booked it. At check out, we received an invoice for ~$130, a complete surprise. The invoice was comprised of $37/day for parking and $20/day for "resort fees", plus applicable taxes. The $20 mandatory resort fee was included in EXTREMELY fine print at the bottom of the booking email, and includes upkeep of fitness amenities, the shuttle bus into the town, etc. When we initially arrived at Fairmont, we asked the front desk how parking works. We were told to park in the lot, and we'd be given passes at check in. At check in, we were given a two-day parking pass. At no time were we ever told that we'd be charged $37/day. We questioned this at check out and asked for the charges to be reversed, but this wasn't accommodated. If you're booking, BEWARE of hidden fees. I'm not interested in a response that promises to share feedback with the Director, as I know that's an empty response with no acceptable solution - which I'm hoping for, as I really like Fairmont and the hidden charges will impact whether or not I decide to stay with them in the future.
Excellent stay on the Gold floor

We had a great time at the Fairmont Gold.
The lounge and rooms were all renovated recently.
The room was comfortable and cozy. The lounge was warm and inviting. One could sit there for hours reading and enjoying a cup of coffee.
The staff was definitely the star of the show. They are all friendly, helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a perfect one.
The food was good. Everything is fresh and tasty. My son loved the jars of gummy worms and snacks.
We have been coming to the Fairmont for years. Although this is the first time since covid.
Try checked our vaccine status at every restaurant and pool. We felt safe in the hotel and they do a god job cleaning and have sanitizer located everywhere.
If you are looking for exceptional service and great food don’t hesitate booking the gold floor.

Really good food and location. The only thing I would complain about is the price to park for either self or valet. $37 for self parking is a lot on money. The room was nice and clean but pretty basic. I feel like you can get a bigger room else where for the price we paid
