We had some issues at check in (an issue with our travel agency, not the hotel) and Pamela Dolson (director of rooms) stepped up and helped clear up the situation. Not only did she help resolve our problem, she upgraded both our rooms and even had some lovely surprises delivered to our rooms when she found out we were celebrating two occasions ( a birthday and an anniversary).
Also, we had an incident where my mom lost her phone in the hotel. Sam stepped up and ran around tirelessly trying to locate it (and found it). They were so helpful and patient.
We will return to the Fairmont Waterfront!
Services and employee manners were severely lacking

Guest services is terrible: (i) during the phone-ahead for advance check-in I asked about potential upgrade because of ALL Accor status and was first asked a barrage of questions as to why I thought I should be entitled and that this should have been noted when i booked (I made the booking by phone with my ALL-Accor account number) and then I was hung up on and had to call back; (ii) breakfast room service was three simple orders and one order was not sent up, one was wrong order and the other (coffee) was cold and rank; (iii) within 10 minutes of receiving the room service breakfast we were called and my 8 year old son was accused of not having given the complimentary cookies/mild certificate when the order was delivered and that "his mom" would have to pay if we didn't give the certificate, and then within 20 minutes of receiving the room service, someone was at the door asking to take away the dishes (we were still eating).
Also, no valet parking, which is understandable in light of COVID but the price for self-parking is outrageous.
