Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in October 2021. Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, great restaurant. Felt very safe and comfortable. They gave us a corner room so we had a bit of a view of the harbour. The location is also great - right across the street from Canada Place. I was a bit taken aback when I went into the bathroom and found the toilet facing a floor-to-ceiling window. Also no bathtub. Show was very large, however. Also was a bit disappointed that on the second day of our stay, no one came to make up the room. When I asked about it, they said I would have to have scheduled it. Never heard of that before in all the hotels we've ever stayed in. Not sure if that is standard for that hotel or if this is some sort of Covid rule. For what one pays to stay in a hotel these days, you'd expect someone to come and make the bed, bring fresh towels, take away garbage and replace coffee pods.
We ate in the restaurant one night and it was really good. Surprised at the amount of food - was expecting nouvelle cuisine but given good-size portions. Have to say the waiter, Gabriel, was such a delight and very attentive. We had drinks in the bar on the second day and enjoyed talking to the bartender (didn't get his name). Very friendly staff all around. Even the valet/parking guy at the entrance was great - pointed out that we could leave our vehicle there until 6 p.m. on the day of check-out which really saved us some hassle as we had business downtown and were worried about where we'd park. Left the car there and took a cab. It was easier. All in all, it was really a great place to stay. I'd definitely recommend it.

Convenient to walk (or grab a shuttle) from either Harbour Air or Helijet to this location. The property is wonderfully situated for a downtown experience with water views.
We had mediocre staff interactions and found room conditions a little sub-par, but a follow-up with the hotel rendered a quick reaction from the general manager, so I won't dwell on these. I will say that we've had warmer encounters at other Fairmont properties, and I felt like my ACCOR status didn't even register here at all.
Our room was a West Coast Suite (1 King bed, plus a sofa bed in living room). The room itself was spacious. The modern bathroom was roomy, and the bedroom quite large. Unfortunately the bedroom is interior to the suite, so has no windows. That's mitigated, however, by the amazing view out the living room window! There was more storage available here for unpacking than anyone could possibly need -- drawers galore. Hallway noise was noticeable, but we did NOT hear the adjacent elevators, so that's good!
Room service was timely and delicious, and our welcome gift was a lovely touch that showcased the unique characteristics of the property. We made use of the amazing hot tub and roof-top pool (even on a cool rainy day, the pool is outdoors but heated to a nice temp!) and admired the massive gym facilities. The ARC restaurant is also nice for a snack and drinks, or a full meal. (Great street views from every table!)
All in all, it was lackluster service that brought my score down from perfect... but as I said, I'm confident the hotel took the feedback seriously. This is a nice property in a handy location, and offers that luxury feel without feeling at all stuck up. Because it's a more modern build, there are more spacious rooms and facilities than perhaps some of the historic Fairmont properties can offer!

The Hotel staff were very knowledgeable and helpful.
The Consiage (Salima) is a wonderful resources.
We received the room we expected and it was very spacious. When we interacted with any of the staff, they were helpful, friendly and willing to provide local information and recommendations.
Great service & location

Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. From booking to the stay, the experience was incredibly seamless and accomodating. The staff were kind, knowledgeable and delivered fantastic service. The rooms are well appointed and I would splurge for the harbour view - well worth it! The rooftop pool was the best hidden gem in a busy downtown vancouver!
Not the Fairmont Hotel I used to Stay At

I have been staying with Fairmont hotels for about two decades, and I've been one of their top-tier Platinum loyalty members for at least 10 years. During that time I have really enjoyed the outstanding service all the Fairmont properties have offered, particularly some of the little extra touches such as bathrobes and water in the room, a turndown service, and a door-person to greet me, take my bags and valet my car.
My last three stays at the Fairmont have made me wonder if I had accidentally booked into a Motel 6. No curb-site assistance at check-in, no turndown service, no water in the rooms, no workout gear, no bathrobes, most of the bathroom amenities such as Q-tip and shoeshine mitts missing and a bar that closes at 9:00 pm. Certainly, the property is nice and the staff are very helpful (when you can find one) but this is far from the hotel that I have used for the last 20 years. Nor is it a "Luxury" hotel anymore - many of the rooms are looking tired and need an upgrade.
I also should mention that booking on the Accor website is a complete nightmare. This current stay required multiple attempts to book a room, spread over several days of trying. Finally, on my fourth attempt, I was successful in booking a room at the rate class I was looking for. Please let us book rooms on the old Fairmont website again.
Finally, the Accor awards program is the stingiest, most miserly loyalty program I have ever been part of (and I've been part of many programs). Other than the complimentary beverage when I arrive (which was unavailable because the bar closed at 9:00 pm) and the occasional room upgrade, there is little benefit to being a top-tier Accor member. And becoming a Gold or Platinum member is almost impossible to achieve now anyway (come on Accor management - do you really 60 nights of stays during a pandemic just to reach 2nd Tier is reasonable??). Check out your awards chart and see if the benefits between the entry tier and gold (or platinum) justify the effort or expense.
Bottom line - I'm looking for a new hotel chain to be loyal to...
