Seating accommodations

Every guest deserves a seat that fits their needs. Whether you need help transferring, a seat with specific features, or extra space, this page explains your options and what to do before you fly.

Standard seating

Standard seats are available to all guests in the Economy cabin.

You can select a seat during booking, or anytime after, in Manage trips

If you don’t choose a seat, we’ll assign one before departure based on availability. If you’ve added an accessibility request to your booking, we’ll consider those needs when assigning your seat.

If you need visual, hearing, or mobility support, add an accessibility request to your booking in Manage Trips, or contact us at least 48 hours before departure

If you need help transferring to or from your seat

Some seats offer more space and easier access for transferring. Depending on the aircraft and availability, the options below will support a more comfortable transfer.

Seat locations vary by aircraft and are subject to availability.

Seating accommodations for medical disabilities

If a standard seat doesn’t meet your needs due to a medical disability, you may be eligible for a seating accommodation to support safe travel. This may include a seat with specific features or a specific location onboard.

Seating accommodations are based on:

  • The cabin and fare you purchased
  • The nature of your medical needs
  • Seat availability on your flight

When a seating accommodation may not be available

Some requests may not qualify for a seating accommodation, including:

  • Requests for extra legroom based only on height
  • Seating for a travel companion who is not travelling as your required personal attendant
  • Requests outside the cabin or fare purchased

All seating accommodations are based on availability.

How to request a seating accommodation

To help us support your travel needs, have your healthcare provider complete and submit the Air Travel Requirements Assessment form.

Timing

  • Submit the form at least 48 hours before your flight (excluding weekends and holidays)
  • We recommend submitting it 10 days before travel to allow time for review

What your healthcare provider should include

This information should be added on the last page of the form, under “Additional remarks”.
