    Absolutely amazing in the midst of covid

    How do I take the time and shout our butlers??! I’d prefer to speak to each one separately. ABIGAIL is the BOMB! I’ve traveled the world. I’ve stayed on many continents. I love service - it is a part of my dna. I’ve resided in some of the greatest hotels established. But my service with Abigail has been excellent. There is nothing off limits. I feel like we got lucky with the best crew of butlers. Lol. Abigail. Arlene. Shonika. Great teamwork. I’m doing Barbados again just to have these as our friends - not butlers. It’s more like family. They are family. We’ve had menus read to us across the phone in order to satisfy a strange appetite we’ve had at an awkward time of day. Our friends have met us on the beach and the earliest parts of the morning. We’ve forgotten there was a pandemic out in the world - I cannot speak more highly of Arlene and Abigail. I wish there were a way I could advance them. They seem like they are headed for greater heights. Professional. Timely. Courteous. Friendly. Patient. Durable. Thoughtful. Longsuffering. Smart. Capable. Man, my wife and I were talking and we were like, we want to be personal friends with them because they have made us feel like we are home. That’s something you can’t quite teach. It’s caught, not taught. Bless you friends. (Oh, I’m going to leave more reviews about them).

    We enjoyed our stay at Sandals Barbados, we upgraded our room to the lagoon area so that we had the tranquility soaking tub on the balcony (we loved this so much it’s a must have for future holidays now). I did expect room service to be included at a 5* resort although I’ve been advised we must upgrade to club level to get this, no big deal just a small point. The room was lovely with a fantastic view of the swim up rooms and gardens, beautiful bird noises early morning. The pools were varied, we did find the original pool to be a little crowed although there are two bigger pools on the Sandals royal Barbados side, we didn’t receive pool service and had to visit the bar to obtain drinks, again a small point which didn’t detract from the overall stay. The beach was lovely although we didn’t swim as the water was rather rough, the beaches on the west coast are much better for swimming / snorkelling. Restaurants were fantastic here, lots of choice and great quality, we didn’t have a bad meal our whole stay, our favourite was the French restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The sky bar was lovely for a pre dinner cocktail. We will definitely return overall.

    5star resort. From the time our butler service picked us up at the airport, the ride to the airport. The meeting of our butlers to our room. Every day was a breathtaking experience. Jane was our main butler and she was a total gem. We loved the 5 star service. Butler service is the way to go. There is so much to do at this resort. The beaches are amazing, the bowling ally is a huge win win. The redline spa and the spa manager is incredible. We truly enjoyed every minute of this resort. Highly recommend you check it out.

    We booked the Barbados resort for July in June and Sandals accepted the booking and our full payment. 10 days later Sandals notified us that the resort wouldn't be open and we would only get 50% of the charge back because it was within 30 days. I asked to speak with a manager because we didn't cancel Sandals did and if I knew the resort wasn't open I wouldn't have booked it. The manager after some discussion agreed to refund the entire amount for the room. However she lied. Sandals only refunded 50%. Needless to say they lost a loyal customer forever.

    During Covid vacation is not being refunded in full they are keeping the deposit

    I called to cancel our vacation due to the pandemic. They would not refund our deposit nor would they push out our reservation to the same dates the following year. On top of that I was transferred three times on the phone. Bad business. The quality of the properties, cleanliness (or lack thereof) and service has gone downhill in the last 4 years. I've been visiting Sandals at least once a year for 15 years but no more. Guess we're going to try that different resort chain for our next vacation.
