    Need better assistance from front desk personnel. Did not get rooms on same floor as requested, did not get rooms on same floor as promised. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Good location and friendly staff.

    OMG...where to begin. Latanya(spelling)at the front desk was very nice and friendly to my best friend and I. The Room wasn't ready on arrival and Latanya kept us posted on when the room would be. The room was really worth the wait. Nice clean and on the top floor from outside noise....lovely. We had a chat with both Tanya and Latanya And they were very cool. From the room to the breakfast the front desk ladies. Every thing was on point. Planning on doing another one before the year is out and share their experience with others. Too bad it was only for the weekend. Because everything was fantastic.

    Nice stay, friendly staff. Shops en restaurants in a lovely neighbourhood. Check in not fast despite low season. If needed towels at noon they were not in stock. Good beds. Cleaniness and proper hygiene.

    The room was excellent and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Drinks at the bar were great and the poolside atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable. I enjoyed my stay and would come back again!

    Poor Customer Service from the South Beach Hotel Managerial Team

    My family and I were extremely disappointed, annoyed and unsatisfied during our stay at the South Beach Hotel by Oceans Two Hotel and the type of customer service we received from the Managerial Team- Front Desk Manager (Ms. Kimberley Samchan) who we had direct contact and communication with and her superior the Operations Manager (Ms Hariette Morris) who we did not have direct contact with or communication with... Upon our arrival which was 45 minutes after the 3pm checking in time in at the hotel, on September 28th, we were informed that we could not check into the room due to the fact that room was not ready as yet for guest, even though we arrived on the property late. This news was upsetting, due to the fact our toddler was irritable due to the fact that he was in and out of sleep, myself having pregnancy discomforts at that time of the in my stomach area and feet and lastly, the heat/ temperature of outside was unbearable. However, after 15-20minutes after questioning and displaying our frustrations as to why the room was not ready as yet and displaying our disappointment, we were finally able to check into our room and place our items inside. Upon careful observation, we realized the room was still incomplete .. as they were not hand towels, washcloths, floor towels, bar soap and Only 2 bath towels. Therefore, we called and ordered these items, which did not arrive until approximately 2 hours after we checked in and ONLY RECEIVING SOME OF THEM. Moreover, we also realized that the air conditioning unit in the One Bedroom Suite in Room- 106 which we booked, was not working properly. The ventilation, which poorly circulated throughout the living and dining room area was very warm after several minutes and hours of being on. We aired our concerns with the FRONT DESK MANAGER- Ms. Kimberley Samchan, who in my opinion was very unprofessional in her manner, showed no acknowledgement to our concerns to even issue an apology or try to compensate or accommodate us in anyway. Furthermore, she did not even try to use her discretion. Her responses where nothing more than a cover up as she did nothing more than found excuses for why we received such poor service thus far. In addition the Front Desk Manager, informed me that she contacted the OPERATIONS MANAGER of the Hotel- Ms. Hariette Morris about the queries I made regarding what can be done to accommodate us for the poor service in terms of the room standard and inconvenience caused upon our arrival, as we'd already invited some guest over to spend some time with us at the hotel for a birthday celebration and we running behind the schedule we'd made. I even explored the possibility of issuing a refund at this point, due to the fact that I was very frustrated and annoyed with Ms. Samchan overall ability and training as a manager and the unapologetic manner in which she acted. Ms. Samchan later informed me that upon communication with her superior Ms. Hariette Morris, that the issuing a refund would be granted, however, nothing else can be done for the inconvenienced caused or our great disappointment. By this time, our guest had started to arrive, therefore, we decided to settle with the mediocre standards of the hotel because of this... We had already experience Staycations at several Hotels Such as- The Crane, Accra Beach Resort, The Hilton, just to name a few and our experiences at these hotels were exceptional in comparison to what we experienced at South Beach Hotel. Never the less we settled. In which we later regretted as we encountered more challenges such as- 1) Never receiving the blankets in which we requested later that night to cover with from from the mosquitoes inside of the room. 2) Sept 29th- Missing out on the opportunity to experience the ambiance to sit in the Hotel Restaurant and have our breakfast inside there due to the fact that we ordered fresh towels to shower around 8;30 am and did not receive any until 10am (By 1030am the breakfast time came to an end) .... Due to the fact that they were no CLEAN Towels available until that time... Therefore, we settled and I went to the restaurant and brought back breakfast to our room... Once again, I aired my queries and concerns to the Hotel Employees who worked in the reception area Laytoya and Lydia, who tried their best to accommodate us for the inconvenienced cause, apologized and were very professionally in there manner. Laytoya even offered a complimentary 3pm late check out for such as a means of compensation. However, she later informed me at 11:30 am that after consulting with the Operations Manager Ms. Harriette Morris that we were require to check out at 12noon sharp, with no exceptions. Once again, we were very shocked, disappointed and displeased by Ms. Morris's response. Never the less, after further communication with one of the Hotel's Employee's Lydia, she was able to advocate on my behalf and grant the initial request that Lydia granted us until 3pm. Upon reflection of our stay and experience at the South Beach Hotel, I would say this- the quality of service in which we received from the Hotel's Managerial Team was extremely poor and I believe that several training and retraining sessions need to be conducted for such Team members to understand that value of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE IN BARBADOS.
