We have travelled everywhere! Mexico, Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas, Florida, etc. BUT WE LOVE CAYO COCO!!!!! Have been going relentlessly for 10 years and the newer PULLMAN is the most beautiful resort. 5* Entertainment 5* Staff 5* Amenities (Spa, Kids Club, Beach, Activities) 5* Bartenders 5* Pool 5* Collection Side This last point is important for those who wish to travel with siblings who do not have children or grandparent's that want to come but also want some peace and quiet. They can stay on the "Collection" side and enjoy quiet meals and hungover mornings without the right they earned to not have or listen to children (HA!). It really is the perfect place, for the perfect balance, for imperfect families :) <3

Hi Everyone! My husband and I just returned from our third time at the Pullman Cayo Coco. We are seasoned travelers and have been all around Cuba at least 17 times. We used to stay at other hotels in the area but sadly it has gone down hill and when I say downhill many do not spend the money on the important stuff like flushing toilets and AC and those hotel prices are still high in price. I would rather spend the extra few hundred dollars to know everything is the way it should be in a vacation. We all work very hard at home to have a vacation we at least need the basics that is why we come to the Pullman. Most of the staff from those hotels are now happily at the Pullman. We are not fussy at all truly I could eat a cucumber for 7 days lol, What I can tell you is the following: If you are looking for amazing entertainment Cuban music and Rock and Roll this is your place. The house band at the Pullman plays every Saturday before the show, they are amazing in particular Carlos the guitar player, I was surprised to hear them play 70's to 90's music! I rocked out to KC and the sunshine band with them. Every night before dinner there is entertainment in the lobby, the lobby by the way is the primary reason we come to this hotel it over looks the ocean and they make every drink there. We love the Spanish Coffee before and after dinner. We met the most beautiful gal who sings like an angel her name is Arissel she sings Whitney Housten wow!! If you like Rock and Roll OMG! you have to see the band DHARMA they are amazing!!!!! My husband Gary has been invited on the stage a couple of times now it has been the highlight of our trip many times. Please bring the musicians guitar strings or anything music as they have no stores to purchase this. Honestly many take apart bikes and use the wire for strings and they still sound amazing. The beaches in Cayo Coco are amazing you can never go wrong!! The food, OMG the food!!! all of it is amazing I am not exaggerating the AL a cartes are amazing. My favorite is the French, my favorite waitress Yansey works there we love her so much, she used to work at the Colonial and now works here. Libre the waiter in the lobby is a friend from a past hotel, you will know him from his amazing smile and humor!!! Raidany at reception is the most special lady you will meet, she made our stay so special and only she knows why xo love her!!! Animation staff, let me say there is no other hotel we have ever stayed at that had staff like this place. These guys work so hard and truly care how you are, they will smile at you and it will melt your heart!!! They socialize with everyone in particular we fell in love with Amhed his nick name is Double A or the Amazing Amhed, you will know who he is the moment you meet him. The twins are fun too. Also Adrian is a treat he is such a great entertainer love him. Our room was such a dream, it was clean the Ocean view was to die for and the fridge was filled up everyday with beer, pop and water. If you like excursions you can do a glass bottom boat right from the beach it costs $20 and it is fun. We took a trip to Moron as we have great friends that live there so we always go to have a meal and see the real Cuba, they are all humble loving people. People often wonder or comment on what to bring to Cuba for the staff here is my list of the things that are very difficult to obtain even if the people have some money they still cannot get this stuff as Cuba is really deficient in supplies for the Cubans. My list: Medication ex: Tylenol, fever medication, bandages anything medical TIP: if you tell your airline you have a suitcase for humanitarian items and leave the suitcase there it is free of charge. Go to your local Trift store suitcase are cheap fill it up. Anything music related, we brought a guitar and had no problem at all just paid for it as extra luggage did not claim it just left it there. You cannot imagine the joy they get to get a gift like that. Soaps, shampoo etc is very hard to get, just a tip, all of the hotels I stay at in Canada I collect the freebies and bring them to the staff. The gardeners love anything you can help them with re: gloves etc. Chocolate they do not have good Chocolate in Cuba OMG go to Dollarama or collect all of the cheap stuff left from Halloween and bring it. The candy bracelets are a hit and Smarties don't melt as they have the candy coating and are easy to bring. There are little snacks in Cuba so bring chips etc for yourself and the Cubans. You will notice a lot of the Cubans cover up with long shirts etc as the sun is brutal for them there. If you see SPF clothing on sale this time of year bring it for them honestly we know of a few Cubans who have skin cancer so this helps a lot. If you are looking for a true review this is it!!! Everyone has their own experiences and you can choose to be negative but honestly this place is worth every penny you will spend while there. Until we meet again in the Spring!!! hugs to everyone your friends from Canada xo

My husband and I were at the Collection at the end of October and beginning of November for one week. We have been there before: once in a junior suite and the second time in a Collection Suite. We so liked the CS, we had booked another one for this trip. The beach was yet again lovely. My hubby seemed to have gotten some sand fly bites though. I am a bug magnet and didn't get any of those but had two mossie bites. This was a miracle but probably due to the fortunate breeze that seemed to blow most days. There was some seaweed in the water and on the beach but we have seen worse. Despite the wind, we were able to stay at the beach without being bothered by blowing sand. A disappointment for us was that the Cuban restaurant was closed until around mid November due to renos. Previously, we loved having lunch there and were sorry not to see the lovely hostess this time. We don't stay for the nightly entertainment since we are early risers. However, after dinner in the French one night, we had hoped to experience the music in the Patio. Sadly, there was none as the resort had fewer guests. We did thoroughly enjoy an ensemble of black Cuban ladies who were so talented; they entertained in the main lobby one night before dinner. They were awesome! We rarely ventured to the Family side of the resort. The Collection has everything you might want. El Gourmet and the snack bar offer good food. Breakfast in El Gourmet is always nice. We are so spoiled by the smoked salmon and fresh croissants at breakfast! The "Three Amigas" as I call them are just lovely young women who serve us at breakfast and lunch. They are Yenny, Marielys, and Claudia. They move from El Gourmet to the snack bar for lunch. It is a treat to be served by them. We always say about Buddy at his beach bar that "to know him is to love him". Honestly, he is so authentic and kind, everyone we talk to just adores him. He is a perfect rep for the Pullman. As well, Alfredo is another exemplary bartender at the Collection. He is very sweet and affectionate! Johnny is a bartender who also is well-liked. Two managers whom I must recognize are Eduardo, manager of the Collection, and Roberto, manager of Food and Beverage. Eduardo is lovely and thoroughly involved in his guests' enjoyment there. He took time to book a dinner for us in the French ala carte PLUS make another reservation for us and a friend who was arriving later in the week. This was just a sample of how he goes out of his way for the Collection guests. Roberto is a true gentleman and gracious host! The one thing which truly bothered us this vacay was the fact that there was a chlld in the Collection all week we were there. This is truly shocking since the Collection is for ADULTS ONLY. A family of three was in the Golden Villa (free upgrade??) but they spent 90% of their time in the Collection side. Their boy was in the pool every day and they ate in the snack bar frequently. This is JUST NOT right. All of us who were there should have complained to our travel companies and requested a rebate since we did not receive what we paid more for: Adults Only!! We hope this never happens to us again when we are in the Collection as it would end our choosing it as a vacation spot. Despite the egregious breach of conditions in the Collection the week we were there, we hope to have more holidays spent at this lovely "resort within a resort." Claudia

PULLMAN CAYOCOCO " HORRIBLE"" ROACHES NEAR BUFFETT, ANTS IN ROOM, STAFF IN GENERAL DONT SMILE

There are both Negative & Positive comments for this hotel. Lets begin with comments for improvement. 1. -Bartenders in the lobby area don't smile, except for one or 2 of them It almost makes you afraid to ask them for a drink as they seem unapproachable. Drinks seem to be watered down. 2.- The male employees at the front desk do not greet you with a smile Being an owner in the service industry, one should always greet their paying clients with a smile. 3. Our rooms were full of large ants, they never fumigated inside We had NO hot water for 3 days :( 4, We found roaches crawling in the main buffet area where breakfast lunch and dinner is served. I also found one crawling on the wall beside me while I was eating lunch YUK!! 5. Bartenders at the pool bar. One really hard worker and always with a smile ready to serve you. (Mirey or Mira) she was the Best!! 6..Watch out for the guy that try's to sell you coconuts. The coconuts and coconut water is free of charge, but he seems to dislike the tourist unless he gets tipped huge $$ He will try to tell you that he brought the coconuts from his home backyard, but the hotel supplies him with the coconuts. Dont let him fool you.. Specialty Restaurants: There is nothing special about them except you order a la carte but the selection is mimimal Positive: hotel is clean good supply of towels and linens Great entertainment free catamaran ride Nice vacation, we enjoyed ourselves overall. But dont go there for food or drink, you may be dissapointed. These comments have been posted so that others are aware and hopefully someone from the hotel reads the review so that they can make improvements in certain areas.
