Staying here for 3 nights before a cruise. The good: It's better than Motel 8. It's location on the beach can't be beat. You can rent Jet Skis which is a blast. The room was clean. The staff friendly. The bad: The balconies all face outward on the side of the building so you don't get an ocean breeze and you look into the parking lot of the hotel next door. The pillows on our bed were hard. The sheets feel old and are rough with bumps, wierd. They feel like low quality and old. Kind of uncomfortable for sleeping. The bathroom, although clean, is very narrow and small. The restaurant food was subpar. I had the Chicken Fiesta Salad it came on a bed of tortilla chips that were rancid. Husband had Hummus and Falafel with pita that was also rancid. Probably won't come back. I have stayed a better places.

Hotel was recommended by friend. Very disappointed with room. Very small with a view of air conditioning fans off balcony. Valet parking way too expensive and charged 9 dollars for guest to visit restaurant for one hour. Free breakfast was terrible. Management not very helpful. I do not recommend staying here.

We stayed 2 nights unfortunatly. First night late at night we saw roaches. Packed our bags early in am & Called down to front desk , he said i will have manager call u. After wasting half the morning waiting on call ,we called down again hour later & asked for manager. She asked what size are they ? Because we have some kind of bug that cones up from drains ! I said does that matter ? they are everywhere& I had luckily trapped one in my clear travel bag & it had 100 of babies all in it! She moved us an hour later, now its noon. We get to second hotel room & flush toilet & water comes out the top & bottom overflowing bathroom! Call front desk again & she says really? Ill send maintenance, wait another 20 minutes& 2 guys come up - 30 minutes later they say its fixed. That night my mom realizes she had left her pantsuit hanging in the first room closet, we call desk & they say no sorry not there. On our way to dinner we stop by desk & mgr says i dont have a key to housekeeping room u will have to wait till tomorrow afternoon ( which we were leaving & only stayed 2 nights) we are still waiting on phone call . The only thing they kept saying is "Im Sorry" & gave us 2 breakfast passes ! Like we would eat at a hotel that has roaches! The rooms are old & linens dont smell fresh , walls are dirty, our room overlooked loud A/C stuff and another bldg. Drinks at bar were $9.00 for a very small cup. Managers dont care , one blaming other for not moving us more quickly , one saying they dont have roach problem, one saying that we shouldnt have left outfit & we cant say it was stolen till he can look in a locked room that a manager has no key too! A motel 6 would be nicer to stay at then this so called "resort" it is far from it . Pool is very small and beach is not kept nice . No good restaurants nearby . We should have been refunded atleast one nights stay because we lost all of our beach time dealing with issues. Do not stay here - spend the extra money & stay somewhere else. There is nothing resort about it.

We booked this hotel for one night stay in the Fort Lauderdale area- we stay in that area- lots of times and decided to try a new one on the beach. When we booked on hotels.com, we picked a room with an up charge for a partial Oceanview. We’ve traveled enough to know what a partial Oceanview is and decided that we would take a chance at seeing the corner of the beach from our balcony. We checked in about 830 at night on a Sunday, it was not a busy weekend and we were given a room on floor two. Knowing that partial Oceanview‘s are usually better when they’re higher up in the air or closer to the beach, I said is there any other room you could give us? Of course they gave me the usual “no that’s all we have”. So for a partial view up charge we got a “lovely” balcony overlooking a rooftop and two large AC condensers that hummed and made loud noise all night long. If you looked far far with your Best eye to the left you could see a palm tree that appears to be a beach! The balcony view was totally obstructed , and the patio was useless. The hallway floors needed vacuuming and the AC inside the room was loud all night long. To my surprise there was an 18.95 parking charge -valet or self park across the street. This was not advertised on Hotels.com. The room charge with the upgrade was $125 and they hit us with parking and resort fee again that was not advertised. No restaurants or bars are open at 8:30 on Sunday night as advertised. At check out, I showed pictures of the obstructed view/partial Oceanview to the manager at check out and asked her if she thought my view was a partial Oceanview. She agreed and said “I’m sorry you weren’t happy”.She agreed that our view of the large AC unit in the parking lot did not look like a nice enjoyable partial view of the ocean, yet she offered no compensation in return. I then told her that she should go room by room if she’s a manager and that she should have somebody look to see if the balcony that gives you the partial view was actually worthy of an up-charge. Long story short -no one cared and we will not stay there again. I told her that I would write reviews and that I would make it my mission to make sure no one I know stays there when in Ft Lauderdale. She did not care.

    Not for everyone...

Stayed there for 17 nights from the end of August to middle of September. If you are looking for a long stay, it's not for you. If you don't like the constant noise from the inside air conditioner, compressor unit for hotel ac and compressor unit for the next door hotel ac when you are relaxing on a sun bed, it's not for you. If you don't like a window AC blowing one direction, it's not for you. If you don't like housekeeper open your door without knocking first, it's not for you. If you don't like seeing empty reception and concierge desks and no security at the evening time, it's not for you. in addition the pool was closed for almost a week (4 days for annual maintenance that we have not been informed before arrival). Also, if hotel position itself as a resort, they have to provide an entertainment on a regular basis, otherwise, this is just a hotel. On a good side Chloe, the manager, was very helpful and Ceci at the front desk was very friendly. OK place for a few nights stay.
