Affordable and friendly with great location

Definitely not the nicest hotel but considering the price of everything on Waikiki I assume that this is what should be expected. I’ve paid far less for more. The staff was very friendly and very helpful always. Aside from a bizarre reservation policy that may leave you with something other than what you reserved and trying to resolve this with the staff, I would say we had little to no issues
Mixed emotions on dated hotel

This is an old hotel with rooms that are very dated. There is no closet space other than two drawers in the room for your things and those have extra pillows in them. The bed sheets are not ironed, but clean. The pillows are very soft, and the mattress is also very soft. The room has windows that don't keep out the noise and you can hear the trash pickup out on the entire street starting around 3AM till well past 8AM. The pool is incredibly small and does not look like anyone uses it. The staff is very friendly though and will help you out as much as possible. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days but if you need extra stuff, they will bring it up for you. Parking lot is small but adequate and rate is ok. There are no bellmen to help you with your bags. With all this, next time will stay elsewhere.
Excellent value for money

Great value for money, great location, friendly and helpful staff, nice pool. Quick check in as well as check out. Plus for letting to leave luggage’s with no extra fee. Overall 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
Aqua Aloha Surf

This hotel is a 2star hotel. Older rooms and bathrooms. For the price it's a fair deal. However they didn't include several fees to the total price, which was charged while trying to check-in (parking, double fees, taxes on security deposit??). Small parking lot in basement. I paid for parking, but there were no empty spaces to park. Was told to go park somewhere else, like street parking or at the International Market Place. I'm not complaining about it, since I booked a day before my stay. But if you have time to book early, Aqua Palms or any other hotel in the area is better.

Aloha this was my first time of visiting Honolulu on The Hawaiian Island of Oahu.I stayed at this Hotel from Friday February 16-23 2024..odd I am writing this on February 25 2024 & The Trip that I just took already feels like it was a few Weeks ago.??Yes it's an Older Resort as are a lot of Hotels in This Area & Downtown most Honolulu High Rises & Hotels were Built between 1960 & 1980.That's isn't meant as a knock against it because you would pay a lot more for a Week or 2 at any of The Big Hotels that are a few Blocks up on The Ocean Beach Front Area.Yes as noted by others the carpet,Paint & rooms generally could maybe use a refresh/revamp in The future. That said my basic Room did the job a Place to catch 40 winks= sleep????.My room 705 which was an upgrade I stayed at The Massive Aston Costa Verde in Holguin Cuba in April 2023 so this Hotel here is I think is maybe Part of The Aston Group of Hotels that are in more than a Few Countries/ Regions World Wide.Room 705 had a 42 or 43 inch Samsung HD TV which I could cast Tubi & ROKU TV Shows & Movies from my Phone via a Casting App,a Kitchen Sink, Microwave,Coffee Maker small Shower & a Sofa. There's also a Sliding Door with a Small Balcony with 2 Chairs on it.I briefly went on it yes this is a small ledge high up so I'd maybe exercising some care & caution when going out on the Balcony.Down at The Lobby there's vending Machines with Snacks & Soda,Free Ice Machines & a Small Swimming Pool behind a Gate & Fence. As far as The Location it's as far as I'm concerned is perfect. It's Central to most things Shops like The Waikiki Market,ABC etc which seem to be on just about every Street Corner in Downtown Waikiki. As far as my impressions on Oahu i find The Bio Diversity of all The Different Types of Trees truly amazing! I think there's 30+Species on The Island forget The Coconut Palm which are Beachside everywhere but even walking around in a Park near The Free Military Museum you might see at least 6+ Different Types..wow! ??Also all The various Birds here I have been to various Spots in Mexico,Cuba,Panama, Costa Rica,Colombia so yes I'm use to seeing all different types of Tropical Birds but not like some of the unique ones that I saw out here in This Remote Pacific Location.I like The Volcanic Rocks & soil both of which again reminded a bit of Panama????.The people I ran across in Oahu were very polite & welcoming I was very much impressed by the manners there. If I was going to compare the mellow Honolulu chill vibe it kind reminds me of one of my fave Ports of calls San Jose Del Cabo Baja California Mexico. Yes people also like to surf there even if they are way smaller waves ???????One thing just be aware that the price of many things including Soft Drinks,Snacks,Beer & Booze Meals etc is noticeably higher than say compared to Cancun,Cabo San Lucas or Puerto Vallarta..just saying F.Y.I. To summarise yes it's a truly fantastic looking Tropical Paradise that is very different to other Spots I visit on a regular basis yes I really like The Caribbean but this is also a very unique & special Pacific Destination.I'd say its similar level to The Bahamas interms of the cost of a Package to go there. So it may be a while before I Jet into Honolulu & to see some other Spots besides Diamond Head Crater & Pearl Harbor etc.I hope to visit Oahu & Honolulu one day again down the Long & Winding Road.I will raise one of The Longboard Lagers that I brought back with me to Vancouver BC to you Oahu, Honolulu & Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki..Mahalo cheers,Alistair. ??????????????
