This was a great hotel. Close walk to the beach which was very family friendly for my small kids. The rooms were clean and nice, bed comfortable, the hotel was overall very nice. The downside was the breakfast, same thing everyday for 6 days. It would be nice if they switched it every other day or something. There's also no microwave in the rooms, just one downstairs at the check in desk. It was also a pain getting an elevator. We had to wait sometimes 7-10mins to get up or down stairs.

Normally stay at cheaper hotels, because for me it's about the things to do, not where I sleep/stay. However with covid 19 in play the cleanliness and spaciousness of the property became more important.

    Comfortable But Dated

Good location: 1 block from the beach; bus stop is just around the corner; close to many restaurants and places to eat. Better than other hotels: Provides warm breakfast. Cons: The pool is small; no pool-side drink services; the room and property is dated - still has popcorn ceiling.

    Great 2-night stay in April

My family stayed here for 2 nights in early April 2021. We stayed on the 8th floor in the secondary building, which was very quiet. The room offered a view of the ocean, with many rooftops between the hotel and the ocean. Due to COVID restrictions, breakfasts were served as to-go bags. Yogurt, boiled egg, granola and a choice of ham croissant, egg/turkey sausage muffin and one other option that I can't recall. There was hand sanitizer at the lobby level next to the elevator - this was great though I wish the hand sanitizer was there for all floors. I had two remote workers with me, and one thing that was missing was an extra desk, but housekeeping was fabulous - they delivered a square table to use, which worked out well. In addition, the internet speed was sufficient for video conferencing. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Beach access here was so convenient - the hotel was just a few blocks from Kuhio Beach, along the main drag - Kalakaua Ave. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay here.

We were here for several nights in March. Our room was clean but a little strangely laid out with a couch placed where you really wouldn't use it and some odd hallway-like thing going to the bathroom. Aside from that the room was comfortable and quiet with the front desk staff especially helpful. The breakfast area was pretty chaotic though with one fairly-stressed-out person giving out to-go packages to everyone. The hotel also seemed unusually crowded for a pandemic and we had to dodge lots of people. Also the parking was a pain with having to save a little money and park a block away from the hotel. Otherwise, it is very close to Waikiki Beach and all the fun vibrancy of that place.
