we enjoyed our stay immensely. no issues. staff and guests all happy and polite. all you had to do was ask for towels or supplies and they were delivered promptly. we had Ocean Front 5th floor and had an excellent view of boats, whales, swimmers etc. The pool area was quiet.....a few behaved kids was fine. The spa was comfortable. The location is great for getting groceries across the street and even getting a pedicure and manicure across the street.

Great room, cleanliness was amazing in the room and all around the property, gorgeous views. We sat on the balcony watching whales and sunset. Staff is very welcoming and extremely helpful. Perfect for honeymoon and to relax. Great bbq and pool area for family too.

I researched what seems like every property in Kaanapali. I wanted a rental with beautiful views. When I saw pictures of the ceiling to floor windows, I was sold. The view did not disappoint. The sunset was beautiful and nothing rivals watching whales from the balcony or the numerous rainbows that magically appear. The shoreline is rocky, so if you are looking for a place where you can have the typical “beach” experience keep looking. For us, this was perfect. There is a small pool onsite that was not crowded during our stay. The location is within walking distance to other properties for shopping and dining, including Duke’s, as well as a grocery store. It was also a convenient location to other activities we did while on Maui. Mahalo!

Whales and trade winds. Beautiful setting for my much needed self care The unit 411 was very nice. Clean despite daily housekeeping on hold due to Covid. Everything I needed. The only improvement would’ve been better beds and bedding. Subpar for this level of hospitality. Clean white fresh sheets and comforters needed here.

My husband and I have been staying at the Mahana for many years. We like the Mahana because it is quiet and peaceful. We like to use the pool and spa because they are not crowded during the winter months. We stayed at the Mahana this year between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2020 and we returned in early January 2021 for 2 months. EVERY weekend that we have been at the Mahana for these 10 weekends, the pool and spa have been overrun with unruly children and the parents or adult friends provide no supervision for the children. We are not able to use the pool and spa on the weekends due to overcrowding and unruly children. There also appears to be no concern for COVID precautions around the overcrowded pool and spa on the weekends. I thought it was odd that the crowds around the pool only occurred on the weekend so I struck up a conversation with some of the adults around the pool on various weekends. They told me they live near the Mahana and are very grateful that the Aston Hotel allows them to rent a one bedroom condo very cheap for Saturday night and they can spend all day Saturday and Sunday around the pool. They are also able to invite other family members, friends and neighbors to join them around the pool and stay overnight. We are very disappointed with this new "policy" that Aston Hotel has adopted. I don't think we will be returning.
