We loved going to Ka'anapali and we loved the workers in this wonderful Maui hotel.... We have been their 14 times and would love to go back to the ka'anapali beach hotel again....it has been a while since we were their but would do anything to be able to back to the ka'anapali beach hotal. The rooms are the best and the workers were all great and we would not go to any other hotel in Maui...

Our first trip to Maui and we felt we had the best location possible. You really feel the Hawaiian vibe staying at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. All the staff were friendly and informative. The beach is amazing and the hotel grounds are beautiful and lush.

We spent 8 days here in February. The location is awesome, right on the beach and there are so many shops and restaurants nearby. We walked right next to the beach to get most places. Also, Lahaina is only a mile away. The people who work at the hotel are friendly and helpful. We will be going Bach sometime soon!

We loved the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. The hotel grounds are very clean and have a nice tropical feel to it. They are right on the beach and very close to Whalers Village where you have dining and shopping options. They also have a stand where you can rent boogie boards. It's also close to black rock if you like to cliff jump! Lahaina is also a short drive down the road less than 10 minutes. The rooms were clean although a bit dated but would love to stay here again.

This was the first time in Maui for us so after some research we decided on this resort. Our room was comfortable, clean and had what we needed. We didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff, but were happy with the care given to our room everyday. The location is very nice, beautiful views and the grounds are well maintained. There were two days when there was an outside contractor in to cut back trees etc but we were away sight seeing so it had no impact. There was never a time we couldn't find a chair to lounge in outside when we wanted to. However we felt we were nickle and dimed a fair bit. The safe inside the room cost an additional $1.50 per day. They were older safes, with a key, not the newer keypad style so they surely have been paid for many times over. We were given vouchers for free bottles of water that you could get at their little store. They were 8 ounce bottles - more of insult than anything. Parking was $14 a night ($18 for valet) and be warned the spots are so narrow that any size vehicle leaves very little room to exit and you have to be very careful parking your rental and can only hope the door doesn't get damaged. The beach life was disappointing. Everyday but one we had a phone call informing us that swimming was not advised because it was too rough. I assume this is for liability.People were in the water but it was a very sharp drop right at the shore so there is no time you can walk with your feet in the water and stroll down the beach on the property. The waves crash in and dump you but some people looked to be enjoying it and getting covered in the churning sand. The walkway to the Whalers Village is sho rt and there are shops, an ABC store and some places to eat - two restaurants and several fast food places. We did eat there a few times but enjoyed going into Lahaina more or finding someplace to eat when we were sightseeing. Many more choices available elsewhere. I dont think we would stay there again. I would rather look into some resort in Kihei. More choices for food, good beaches and excellent whale watching right outside your door.
