Loud and Comfortable
DeeThunder (St. Paul, MN) on Mar 23, 2024
Golden Nugget is great if you stay up as late as the music on Fremont. The noise level coming from Freemont Street is LOUD. We stayed in a corner suite in Rush Tower. VERY nice room, came with fridge, coffee/pods, 2 tv's (no robe/slippers like I had seen in a video review though). But the noise level was crazy. We brought a fan to drown out the noise and wore the provided ear plugs, but it was still loud. I would not recommend staying here if you are a light sleeper or have kids with you. The music can go until 3am. Bathroom was very big. Shower was nice, but had a VERY high step over the bathtub to get in. The pool is great. We were there during March Madness and always found lounge chairs. Lounge chairs are free in the main pool area, no need to reserve lounge chairs ahead of time. The pool water was so warm! They scan your room key to enter the pool area. And have plenty of towels available. We did not go up to the Adults-Only pool as we were told by pool staff that the lounge chairs are reservation-only and they were all booked. The servers at the pool are wonderful - but be prepared if you're bringing kids - their uniforms consists of a string thong bikini and don't leave much to the imagination (it is Vegas after all!). GN is located in about the middle of Freemont. Close to lots of budget food places - Starbucks, McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A, Steak n Shake, Dunkin Donuts. Walgreens is a block away. The ABC Store has the great deals on adult drinks. The hotel felt very safe and clean. Easy access to get an Uber/Lyft to the Strip.
Good place to stay Downtown

Hotel Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Much more friendly than the Big Strip Hotels. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. The only negative was there were no signs in the Sports Book stating that you MUST Cash winning tickets at the Book, not at a kiosk or the Cashier.
A hotel that promotes Prostitution..!!
Kaleo1 (Seattle, Washington) on Mar 22, 2024
It’s totally disgusting to see that the management of the Golden Nugget allows hookers to approach any and all guests to make a hook up then try to convince them to go up to their hotel room. These prostitutes just sit around the machines not playing taking up the games where regular people are wanting to use the machine, but they don’t let unless you talk to them, so they can try and hook up with you and continuously approach anyone for a hook up…!!! This activity is major gross and I will NEVER EVER RETURN to this place nor recommend anyone to stay at this property..!!!
Well positioned

The hotel was kept really clean and staff in all areas were very friendly and approachable. The pool area is a good spot for a bit of relaxation and the pool was warm with the slide going through the aquarium a novelty.
More expensive than we planned!

Huge property and very friendly staff. Our room was clean quiet, and comfortable and on the 4th floor of the gold tower. The noise level from Fremont was low, and there are ear plugs provided if needed. The outlets were very loose and wouldn't hold our chargers. We had coffee pods and items for coffee, but no coffee maker and that was brought to us in a timely manner, but we had to set it on the floor because the plug didn't work. We upgraded to a room with a fridge and were charged $40 per day extra. Everything was an upcharge. We arrived 45 minutes early for check in and were charged extra for that. There is free parking a little over a block away, but valet was $15 to $20 per day depending if it is a weekend. Didn't use the pool because it was cold and rainy while we were there. There is a $43 per day resort fee and we didn't use anything!
