I was in Las Vegas during the one day of the year it rains. I walked from the Rio to Bally's as Lost & Found at Bally's had my wallet that was stolen at The Flamingo, the day before, see the review for the Flamingo, It was a long wet walf, but everything was realitvly fine, until, I got back to The Rio. I was walking on the sidewalk adjacent to the parking lot, when I spotted a large puddle, sure enough, a car passed me at full sperd and splashed me in what looked like a tidal wave. I survived, but something should be done to make The Rio more pedestrian friendly.

Booked a trip for the wife and I, 4 days at the Rio. Arrived late on our check-in date, as the package we booked had a late arrival. Got to our room, and although it was a king non-smoking room, it wasn't what we had booked. Found out they gave our room away before we arrived, and put us in a less desirable spot. The room was in serious need of TLC... Tiles falling of the wall in the shower, mold on shower door - that also leaked leaving puddles on the floor, carpet that was rippled on the way to the bathroom, and a general smell of old cigarette smoke (possibly a smoking room at one time). Went to front desk to complain, as was told they would put us on a list for our originally booked room (?) But to come back the next day between 11-3...not sure about anyone else, bit I don't sit around the hotel all day waiting to find out if they can get me something I booked in the first place. Got back from exploring Vegas, to find a message on our phone, called the desk and was told they had room, but gave it away also because I didn't get back to them by 3pm. 2nd visit to front desk to speak to a supervisor and only when I asked for a comp, did they offer to waive one night of resort fee..a joke really, considering the WiFi was terrible and I didn't use any other facilities. Probably won't be going back to the Rio.

I have stayed a the Rio many times and it has always been a great experience. It has a big gaming floor with awesome dealers. The craps dealers are my favorite. Big rooms and a great buffet! I don’t mind that it’s off the strip. It’s actually kind of nice because you’re close enough to walk there.

Enjoyed my birthday with friends from Oregon who came to visit Las Vegas during 11-29 to 12-3. Table games and reels were played. Employees were friendly. Busy place on the weekends. Some friends did pretty good on the slot machines. We all had fun!
