Even if one is not staying there, the Wynn is worth a visit. The lobby displays alone are something to behold (we especially enjoyed the floral carousel and hot air balloon). The elegant decor is well conceived; and, of course, there are the prerequisite upscale, exclusive shops among which one can stroll and browse. There are also places to rest, listen to the water feature, and/or indulge in a tasty snack. Obviously, there are numerous hotel/casino/shopping venues to explore in Vegas; this certainly is one of the more interesting options to pursue. .

This is a beautiful casino. The staff were caring and helpful. It is in a great location. I think mid-November is a pretty good time to visit. It was busy enough not to feel deserted, and spacious enough to be able to take pictures of the displays easily!

I chose this hotel after careful research (TA and other sites). My expectations were very high. The hotel-resort is very beautifully and creatively decorated indeed, in bright colours, with an Asian touch and lots of plants. The design is original, not an imitation of anything, unlike most other hotels in Vegas. However, for a highly praised 5-star hotel in Vegas this cannot be enough. Our first day: long line for check in (at 2 p.m.), the room was ready at 3.15 pm, but the luggage only arrived at 5.30 pm. The luggage man was very tired and said their new manager was keen on economizing, so they are forced to work long hours. We stayed at the Wynn for 5 nights and the long desk on the groundfloor dedicated to ”Guest Relations” remained closed. I found this an epitome of how guests are generally treated there: no empathy for guests, no one to tell you where to go for which service. And the place is HUGE ! We stood in a long line at the Concierge Desk only to learn after 10 minutes that tickets for tours and sightseeing were not sold there, but at the Bell Desk (??!!). Why ?? There was no sign to let you know in advance. Also, we were amazed to see that, while there were not enough employees to avoid queues at the Concierge and Bell Desks, there were ridiculously many life guards at the swimming pool, which was as deep as your waist, with very few guests in. The buffet was also nicely decorated, with good quality food, but again, with long lines to get in.

We tried to stay at the Wynn for my husband's 50th but on arrival were told there were no rooms but to go up in the lift and through the white door. Basically this was into the main hotel and not the Tower Suite that we had booked months in advance. Thanks to this community we were wise to this practice and went straight down to reception and complained. We were told we could get moved the next day and then finally they upgraded us to a room in the Encore. They did try and sell us the room allocated but honestly why have Tower Suite rooms if they are the same as the main hotel (only currently $200 more expensive). They also tried to blame us for checking in late! We had an amazing time in the Encore and the hotel is perfect but just be aware that even 5 star exceptional hotels have substandard practices.
