The Westin Reserva Conchal is such a great place to visit. More than just a nice hotel, it has THE BEST PEOPLE serving your every need! These people care about each and every person with attention to every detail. If you like being pampered beyond your wildest dreams while hangin out at a spectacular resort, then go here! We had my daughters wedding here (on the beach) and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. In spite of what the media reports about Costa Rica being dangerous, I would say it's more peaceful than the US. The people of Costa Rica and especially the folks working at this Westin are genuine, kind and beautiful! I have made many friends over the last few years at the Westin and in Costa Rica and will continue to go mostly because of them. The staff did a great job with regards to Covid-19 and cleanliness. Each and every restaurant followed the guidelines to a tee and made everyone wash their hands and wear masks at the appropriate times. If you are looking to just lay out by the pool and catch some rays while being served anything you prefer, then this is your place. If you just want to go to the beach and get a massage, then this is your place. If you want to enjoy golf, horseback riding, jet skiing, paddle boarding, tennis, pickle ball and much more, then this is your place. It has one of the most beautiful beaches around Costa Rica and the hotel and surrounding grounds are awesome! You'll get to see LOTS of Iguanas, monkeys, coatis, and hundreds of different birds. Don't worry, they stay clear of humans for the most part. Stay at Royal Beach if you want quiet privacy without lots of kids running around. But if you have little ones, they have that too!

The resort itself is great. Highly recommend upgrading to the beach club for adults only. Much more quiet. The drinks are weak but good. Every single staff member is genuinely kind and remembers your name. The resort is beautiful with logs of couti and iguanas! For dinner, my favorite place was Spirula. Everywhere else was okay/pretty good. All the food is clean and you feel healthy, which they prioritize lol. Also I love the pool’s chicken fingers and fries. If you want some activities, hit the beach and look for Eric. He’ll probably find you first! Nice guy with lots of connections at reasonable rates, such as jet skies and riding horses! I was scared to ride the horses, but it was so much fun! You can also get cheap massages at the beach. My fave gal is Sofia (at the main entrance of the beach, she’s on the left).

    We will be back!

We visited The Westin Reserva Conchal the week after Costa Rica reopened for tourists. We felt very safe as the hotel was taking many covid precautions. The location of this hotel is take-your-breath away beautiful. We enjoyed walking the beach in the mornings. There's a little cove off to the left where you can watch surfers. Costa Ricans are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet and the staff at The Westin Reserva Conchal is no exception. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable as first-time guests. The Royal Beach Club is an adults-only pool that we would recommend paying a little extra for if you're looking for something a little quieter. We were able to enjoy most of the dining options during our stay and enjoyed them all - the Westin's asian spot, Bamboo, was our favorite. We did a few day trips but if you prefer to stay put in the resort, there's a ton to do.

Free amenities like kayak and bikes! Had a wonderful tour horseback ridding thanks to Erik Garcia and our tour guide Pedro highly recommend their services! I highly recommend your stay with Westin!

First of all, I made a reservation for the Royal Beach Club for 2 reasons, the first being we had already visited the bungalows 5 times with family and friends and now we wanted to experience the Royal treatment ( knowing the rooms are smaller than those of the Jr.Suite) but being aware that the Royal Beach Club Towers have their own butlers and the private pool area, premium liquors etc., the second incentive was the Royal Beach Club had, for the Halloween weekend, an exclusive promotion for Costa Rican citizens of a great value of $558 for the 2 nights we wanted to go, so we immediately said lets go again. This is my favorite hotel in Costa Rica, I have been going since it belonged to the Paradisus chain, around 2006-2007 and I love the great service provided and camaradery of the employees. This being said, this is what happened when my husband and I arrived: the check in girl gave me the bracelet and a room that belonged to the Jr. Suites with NO further explanation provided. When my husband inquired that our reservation was made in the Royal Beach Club area she simple said it was not opened for this weekend! So we indicated that the reservation was made specifically to get the Royal Beach Club experience; she got manager's approval to give us the corresponding gold bracelets but still we were sent to a renewed Jr. Suite, and she indicated this was considered an upgrade, so we did not get the Royal Beach Club room I had booked. We feel somewhat dissapointed on that we needed to complain to get what we initially booked and still got it half way. The thing that really got us upset, the icing on the cake, was to watch a group of people that was staying in the Royal Beach Club rooms, so the area was open and had an employee in the pool area handing towels and service almost exclusively to that group!!! I now have mixed feelings about ever going back. I understand we are living a Pandemic but being honest and true to your local loyal clients is something to keep especially under hard circumstances.
