Royal Decameron Montego Beach

Missing Royal Decameron and Jamaica. Hope everyone is safe and healthy. Who would have thought that the last year would be as it is and our yearly visit would be postponed. This will always be our spot and we cannot wait to be blessed by the sun on our skin and the sound of the water on the beach. Blessings to all who feel it and know it.

We just returned on Sunday and our trip was amazing! Although the resort was a little older, it didn't make a difference. The staff was awesome, so friendly and fun! We all loved the wide variety of each meal, especially the desserts!?? we will definitely return next year!!

We upgraded to the nicer room at the end at it was well worth it. View was spectacular. Access to the beach/dining was super easy. The only issue was that our room had a door adjoining the next room and a gap between the door and the floor. They were, shall we say, moaners, which filled our room with their amour. We ended up stuffing the gap with towels which did a little. Rahmain the bartender was amazing. Gave us a big hug when it was time to leave, really sweet.

I’m home 3 days and I wish I was back @ the Royal Decameron. Five minutes from the airport great start . It’s not a giant overwhelming resort that you need a small loan to book. What it is , is a smaller guest friendly very laid back and chill resort where every worker greeted us with a smile or a fist bump ?? “ respect” . We arrived around 12 our rooms weren’t ready yet but we were welcomed to have lunch and use all the amenities. When we got our rooms they were in the 4th floor with a magnificent view of the ocean. The food was very good @ the buffet and they did a good job of mixing things up every day . We only ate @ the al a cart restaurant once I wasn’t a big fan. The beach grill was really good and it doubles as the late night snack grill which is ideal when you need that 12 AM burger ??. Unfortunately the weather sucked for 1/2 our trip but we did get to swim in the ocean the first day and lay out on the beach the 2nd day & chill out by the swim up bar. But no matter the weather the drinks are always cold and served up quickly there are 3 bars 1. The lobby 2. Pool bar 3. Out Door behind the beach . The hotel is located on a good strip with plenty of shopping and just a short walk to margaritaville and it’s safe just the regular locals asking you to buy things like any other island. Every night they had different entertainment starting from 830 going till 10:30. The only complaints I had is the water pressure and lack of water we had in our showers . I spoke with the workers and it seemed like it was only the higher floors but it’s not the end of the world. I’ve been all over the world and you get what you pay for and I got a lot more out of this resort than I paid for. Don’t listen to these other people complaining most of them just like to whine. They expect 5 star resort for a motel price. Enough of that let’s talk about the great people that work there. When you first walk in you are greeted with a rum punch from Dave Roy he’s is the best he will get you squared away and is there for whatever you need. Next is the lobby bar w/our favorite bartender Alicia who was always ready with another red stripe when my wife would say ok one more. Georgia our server during breakfast & lunch always welcome us with a huge smile and had our same table in the corner set up for us. Those 3 stand out for me but the entire staff was excellent. What can I say about this place that I haven’t already said. We love everything about it. From the location to the rooms its the best value for money What also makes this place the best are the staff. They take such good care of us. Shout out to Jodi Ann front desk, Dave, Marshall, Elishia, Felicia, Danielle, Alkeem, Jevin, just to name a few. Your service is the best
