A base for our first trip to Disneyland

radicalchels (Weymouth, United Kingdom) on Mar 30, 2024

The hotel was a great base for a trip to Disneyland. We walked to and from the parks and I must admit the walk was slightly longer than we’d anticipated it would be, so we managed to work out the local bus system and it turned out there was a bus that stopped directly in front of the Clarion and went to Disney! Perfect! Just needed the ‘A-Way We Go’ app to buy bus tickets which was super easy. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Checking into the hotel was fast and we were really pleased with the size of the room and the comfort of the beds! The only downside was the noise. The windows must not be great as they let a lot of noise in. Throughout our stay we noticed noises coming from the ceiling which sounded like water/drainage? It was so loud sometimes it would wake us up, but it was fairly infrequent so didn’t have too much of an impact. I’m guessing it may be from guests in other rooms flushing toilets or running water? Upon leaving the hotel we had to rush back from Disneyland to collect our luggage that the hotel had kindly stored for us in their luggage room for free. This process took a fair bit of time as they only had 1 staff member collecting bags and we had a family of about 10 in front of us. This wasn’t ideal as we were starting to get behind schedule for departing to the airport and the Uber prices were literally increasing by the minute. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you’re using it as a place to sleep for Disneyland. We didn’t get chance to use the pool although with it being March and not particularly hot we weren’t overly fussed about this but it looked okay and felt like it was heated slightly when we dipped a hand in!

Good value alternative to Marriott

bobcX8260BG (Cambridge, United Kingdom) on Feb 07, 2024

I stayed here as I was attending a conference at the Martiott next door. It is very close, ghee bef was comfortable, the blinds and shower worked well. The room was very beige & the breakfast buffet a bit basic but very good value. The staff were helpful. So not the most elegant surroundings but excellent value & I felt I was in good hands

Good value

jai_dee74 (Belfast, United Kingdom) on Jan 29, 2024

I stayed here for four nights, like many people the main (sole) purpose of my trip was to visit Disneyland. First up, the hotel is a little dated and could do with a bit of a refresh, but in saying that the hotel serves its purpose. The bed was incredibly comfortable, of my ten night holiday the four I stayed here gave me the four best nights sleep of the trip. Additionally the small balcony was an added, unexpected bonus. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk from Disney, a straight road with one major crossing. One minor negative - there was no in room safe. There was something that looked as if it might be a safe that required a key to open, but there was no key. I could also gripe about the toilet, specifically the height of it - it resembled a child’s toilet - but again it still served its purpose. This is likely to have been a once in a lifetime trip so it is doubtful I will ever return, but if I did I would have no qualms about staying here again.

Convenient walking to Disneyland

jarkdr (Lafayette, Indiana) on Jan 23, 2024

Honestly this hotel was great. We booked it thru the Disney website and got a package with tickets for 3 day park hopper. We came to California just to visit Disney and typically we don’t book to spend time in the hotel. We looked for a value hotel that was walking distance. Just out the door to the right, then take a left and it’s like a mile to the gates. This route does not take you thru Disney springs but that’s ok it’s not far. Lots of commerce along the way including a CVS for necessities. (They even sell ponchos!) We were on the 8th floor. The hotel was fairly quiet. We had a decent view. The place is secure and well kept. Ok the bathrooms were a little tired but it was nice with ceramic tile and none of that acrylic tub surround. Would totally stay there again.
