    Disappointing

    We reserved a bungalow for this 7-day vacation. The beach is nice, the rest is a big disappointment. The doorway was full of leaves from trees around. Towels and bedsheets were frayed, the room was not made everyday (no big deal except that there was always a dead cockroach on the floor in the morning) and when the room was made it was done at around 4:30Pm when we were coming back from the beach (we called to complain and left a message for the manager at the front desk but nothing changed). Nothing was replenished towels/water/coffee or anything: we had to call and wait. There is a private jacuzzi outside the room with the pump always off and they will not turn it on (the water had a suspicious green hue and lots of leaves). Hotel staff decided to do noisy yard service (lawn mower) at 6:30 AM on Thursday but the rooms are not insulated for noise. When I opened the door, a laborer waived and smiled, he had no clue... The restaurant food was mediocre, desserts and breads were stale most of the time, drinks were full of ice, wine was by half glass serving, no bottles allowed and it took an act of God to get a refill. Coffee in the morning was not offered, we almost had to beg for it, refills out of the question. Coffee was always served without a spoon. Hope you are not hungry if you want room service, it takes a second act of God for delivery. The funny thing is that they have so many nice, smiley employees that one wonders what the managing people do. The main swimming pool water was never crystal clear, always a tad of a milky hue...

    Honestly if it weren’t for the manager Edgar and our communication With him, our trip would’ve been a bust. However he cared, accommodated and even ordered tampons, lobster and steak and stayed working to make sure everything ran smoothly during our stay. I won’t say that it was perfect, But when we were able to voice our concerns, manager Edgar came through. We sincerely appreciate his hospitality And what he brings to the resort. Also thank you for the spa treatment.

    At first sight this place looks amazing - it has nice space and beach. But that is all. We made booking through booking.com, when we came they said it was our mistake and we only booked for one person in one room. They asked to pay additionally over 300$ per person, how the full sum was 450€. We did not agreed to pay, because we checked the price again for two people. SUPRISE - it was the same Ive booked! We had a long disscusion till they agreed that we do not have to pay. NOT NICE. The beach and space was nice, bys every morning there were dead big bugs in our room. Also we had a private pool, that was full of dead bugs as well. Do not rent a room with private pool, you will never want to use it. Also the food was always the same, only piza was fine. In the end of our stay we asked in reception to get help with covid antigen test before leaving. We head that is has to be free, but they said that it is not free and even in other place we have to pay. We told them that in other hotel they were suggesting us to get free covid test (but we did not took the test, becouse it was our first day in Dominica R.), but they claimed that free tests are only in Punta Cana. We got help from Edgar who was very nice, but just at first. We asked him several times will test be in english and QR code, as we need the test for the Lufhansa flight. He confirmed that everything will be as we wanted. We paid 7000 pesos per couple and got test done in our hotel room on April 15th (got video and photo to prove).On April 16th in the morning we got test results in Spanish. We requested Edgar for a few times, we need it in english..He told us that Dominican Republic does only spanish, no english and all visitors with spanish results has no problem to airlines. As we trusted him. After arriving in airport, airport staff said, test has to be in English and they will not let us to fly if we would not have test in English. ALSO the staff told us that antigen test, which we did, supposed to be done FREE in the hotel. We called Edgar, asked for his help, but he told that we had differend agreement(to do it in spanish, what was not true) and the translation to English it is not possible. This is very upseting

    We just left your hotel in Samana, and left Dominican Republic. Wanted to tell you how frauded we are! We made booking through booking.com, when we came they said it was mistake and i only book for one person in one room, not two, and they asked me to pay additionally over 300$ per person, how the full sum was 450€. I said i will not pay, because i check the price again for two people, and it was the same i booked. After long talked, they said they will make discount, but again i said no, and they they said ok, no additional money needed. Later, as we needed to travel back home, we asked in reception to get help with covid antigen test before leaving, we got help from Edgar. We asked him several times will test be in english, as we need the test for the flight with Lufhansa. Will it have QR code. He confirmed that everything will be fine. We paid 7000 pesos per couple in advance, and got test done in our hotel room on April 15th (got video proven). On April 16th in the morning we got test results in Spanish. We requested Edgar for a few times, we need it english, spanish not gold for us. He confirmed that Dominican Republic does only spanish, no english. We need test in english, and antigen test, which we did, supposed to be done free in the hotel. The resort by itself is very beautiful, very good, but they wanted to tricked us few times. Very dissapointed. Can book hotel, but be very careful.

    My boyfriend and I stayed there for 5 days, overall a good service, nice people. Food was a little monotonous, and during the day couldn't find too many options. Also the pool was always too cold even during the day with the sun shining. Beautiful pool but couldn't enjoy it. Other than that wonderful place.
