Awesome time at Sandals Grenada

Sandals Grenada (Nov 16-26) We just returned from a fabulous holiday at Sandals Grenada. While everything is fresh in my mind, I thought I would provide my review. We travelled as two couples in Butler Category Rooms 3207 & 3208 (Bi-level Butler Suite). We’ve been to Beaches Sandy Bay (now closed), Sandals Emerald Bay (now closed), Sandals Antigua, Sandals Saint Vincent. Arrival We flew Air Canada from Toronto. Arrival in Grenada was fast and efficient; we were out of the airport in half an hour. Transport to Sandals was handled well and we arrived onsite in less than ten minutes. Our initial concern that we would hear the noise from the airport was quickly dispelled. Check-in Was quick and we were taken to the Sandals Lounge and quickly taken to our rooms. Rooms were spotless, well located, and had nice views of the quiet pool, beach and ocean in the distance. Bar was stocked as requested and they had a nice snack waiting in the room. Beach/Pool We stayed at the quiet pool and had a great spot right next to the beach area. It was difficult to find consistent shade but we made it work. Frequent staff taking drink orders. Pool was warm as was the ocean. Very cool fish who will take bread from your hands. Beach was spotless as was the pool area. I found the “party pool” too noisy for our taste but others seemed to be having a great time. Staff AMAZING! We have never met such friendly and caring staff. My husband is using a cane due to hip surgery and the staff went out of their way to assist with elevators, and golf cart rides. Butlers It was our first time with a butler and highly recommend the team of Teddy, Marlen, and Wavel. They were fun, responsive, and professional. Food/Drinks We enjoyed all of the restaurants and never had a meal that we didn’t enjoy. Great choices and well prepared. As others have said, the lunch options could be expanded. We loved having a “salad” option at Saint Vincent. The sushi was outstanding! Great selection of drinks and all prepared with top shelf liquor IF requested. We have booked for Curacao next year but will be back to Grenada in the future. Just book the trip, you won’t be disappointed!
Good for scuba certification

Clevlon was an excellent scuba instructor. He performed his role with the upmost dedication. He provided a detail oriented, calm and reassuring experience for me as a first time diver. Everyone in the water sports department was friendly and helpful. They run a well organized and safe operation there. Snorkel from boat trip with Ed was good. Snorkeling off the beach is possible. The water was a comfortable temperature the last week in November.
Wedding on a beautiful island

We had to pivot from Jamaica to Grenada after the hurricane hit. We were supposed to get married on the beach in Dunns River sandals and with a Category five hurricane coming we decided to make a change to Grenada, which was on my bucket list. We had two other couples with us to celebrate our wedding. We had a great time. The wedding staff was amazing. Salishia did a great job in getting everything prepared and short notice. We had our wedding on the pier and it was beautiful and intimate. Regarding the resort it’s a smaller resort and walkable, and all of the restaurants are close to each other in one central location. We did feel like it was two resorts in one for the fact that the pool by the beach was more quiet and the pool with the pole bar gave a more of a party so there was everything you wanted if you want to be social or if you just wanted to lay back on the beach and not talk to anybody. I enjoyed looking at all the fish in the ocean right at the beach. The water was clear the people there were very friendly and accommodating I would say really good food, especially at kimonos and the sushi restaurant as well. The only downfall was on our trip back, we were supposed to go through Charlotte and there was a mechanical issue and we were stranded for a couple days. I called to see if we can spend a day back at Sandals while we’re waiting for a new plane to come in but they could not accommodate us at the time. We will be going there again on our fifth year anniversary. We’d like to try some of the other places first and then come back but overall great trip.
Wonderful resort

Sandals Grenada was a beautiful resort with fantastic service. The beach is small but peaceful. We enjoyed our days beachside and ended at one of the 2 pools. Although we had butler service it didn’t appear to be difficult to find lounge chairs. The food was typical of Sandals we have previously been to. Desserts were excellent. Our butler team were great. Out of all 3, Teddy stood out as someone who loved his job. I would highly recommend this resort for couples a bit older. Theres not much nightlife for the younger crowd.
If I don't go back to Sandals Grenada, I will throw a huge fit!!!

My husband and I got married in October and left 3 days after our wedding to go to Sandals Grenada for our honeymoon. Neither of us, nor anyone we know, had ever been to Sandals Grenada before so to say we were taking a risk was an understatement for sure. We were celebrating our honeymoon, so we really did have high expectations of what the trip would look like. I will start by saying this - Sandals Grenada absolutely took those expectations and blew them completely out of the water and provided us a honeymoon beyond our wildest dreams. Upon arrival at the airport, we weren't sure what to expect with the process of customs and retrieving our luggage, but it was beyond smooth and efficient. The transportation to the hotel was a quick 5-minute shuttle ride and the driver was so pleasant and welcoming. That truly made a difference to my husband and I because that was our first impression of the place we were calling home for the next few days. Finally, we entered the resort grounds and I was absolutely blown away by how breathtakingly beautiful the resort was. From the views to the lush greenery, it was just unbelievable. We were immediately greeted with the most warm, inviting smiling faces of the staff and were taken right down to the Club Lounge to check in to our room and get our keys. We sat with a man named Travis who welcomed us, checked us in, and told us he'd be available to my husband and I during our trip. Travis really meant that when he said it. He helped us make reservations for our dinners at the hibachi and the steakhouse, helped arrange our spa reservations, and even made sure to inform us of the honeymoon cocktail hour happening on the beach that week. After our warm welcome with Travis, we were walked to our room and were shocked by how beautiful it was. The room was so clean, so gorgeous, and we had rose petals and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Over the next few days, my husband and I enjoyed the pool and met other honeymoon couples. We tried every restaurant on property and every single dining experience was absolutely delicious with unbelievable table service. The wait staff at every restaurant is just so friendly and so accommodating. A special shout out to Shakira who works at Spices, she is truly such a sweetheart and my husband and I had the most amazing dinner there, talking to her and getting to understand the culture of the island right from her. At the pool, we enjoyed amazing cocktails made by our favorite bartender Stephenson and played probably 300 games of pool volleyball with our favorite staff member, Danya. When I tell you every single staff member at this hotel goes above and beyond, has the most polite demeanor, and really just desires for the guest to have an unbelievable stay - I mean that wholeheartedly. It didn't matter who it was - the grounds workers, the maid staff, the restaurant staff, the bartenders, or the hospitality staff, EVERY single person greeted us every day, all day with a "hello, good morning, how are you, have a blessed day". They are just wonderful, kind hearted, caring people who never miss an opportunity to make the guests feel more than welcome in their home. Fast forward to Friday and we were NOT ready to leave. We went down to the Club Lounge and decided to extend our stay. That morning, we sat with Leston who helped us extend the trip a few more days, provide us with updated room arrangements, and organize our bags to be moved from one room to the next. This is the ONLY part (and I mean this literally) that went wrong. During the transfer of the bags, my one carry on got mixed in with other bags and wasn't moved to our new room. I called down to the Club Lounge and told Leston about this, gave a description of my bag, and before I even made my full way down to the front of the hotel to get the bag - Leston was right there, meeting me half way, bag in hand with a smile on his face. He, just like Travis, made sure we knew that he was available to us throughout our stay for anything we needed and he meant that wholeheartedly as well. The next room we stayed in was also unbelievably clean and to our surprise, ready within 3 hours that same day of us arranging an extended stay. Finally, my least favorite part, the day we had to pack up and leave this amazing place. We saw Danya in the gift shop and gave her a huge hug goodbye, said our goodbyes to Stephenson, and hugged Leston and told him "same place, same time, next week". CRYING because I really wish that were true. We were sung a beautiful song before getting in the vans to head back to the airport and the whole time, I cried. I cried on the shuttle ride to the airport, cried on the plane, and cried the first night back in my home - IMAGINE THAT! Our experience was beyond our wildest imagination, and I am anxiously looking forward to the day I get to go back to Grenada. The staff at that resort are what make that resort what it is, a beautiful place to call home for a short period of time. I felt like family to them during my stay and that makes a world of a difference. I cannot wait to return to see all those smiling faces once again and get hugs from my favorite staff at the best resort in the entire world!!! Sandals Grenada is the ultimate destination and does not disappoint, that trip is worth and always will be worth every single penny!!!
