South Beach Hotel is a fantastic hotel, with a couple of minor (very Minor) drawbacks. The rooms, are more like an apartment, this is absolutely perfect, they are clean and tidy and have friendly staff. The Buffet breakfast there is very good, and as mentioned the staff are lovely, and really welcoming. There is a washing machine at the end of each corridor (on each floor). The drawbacks, and as mentioned these are very minor, The shower leaked and made the floor wet through in room 409, we had to keep mopping this up with towels. The Towels arrived much later in the day, and on a couple of occasions we had to go and ask for towels, especially if we were going out in the evening, and changed earlier than 5 pm. The hotel give you 2 tokens for sunbeds on the nearby beach, but as a family of 3, we had to then pay for another sunbed. Please note that the area is buzzing and you will hear taxi's and buses (the suicide buses as we nicknamed them (they really aren't that bad, and they work well, providing travel all around the nearby coastline)). However they do have a habit of honking their horns, so be aware if you want peace and quiet this is not likely to happen, this is not a fault of the hotel, but thought it worth mentioning. I really do recommend this hotel, it has a lot of positives and these out weigh the minor points i have mentioned. The pool is clean, and it has a fantastic beach, of which we saw turtles swimming in the sea with us.

We've been timeshare travelers for almost 25 years. I mention this as my reviews are based on a timeshare experience. The exchange cost for this trip was at a great price. There are some add'l costs as an exchanger(utility fee. Ours was 53 bucks US)...VAT tax ($70),etc...You won't get the free breakfast,as the non timesharers. 5 bucks more(U.S.) a day for beach loungers. All that said... We had one bedroom accommodations and the unit was a nice size. We lucked out and had an end unit facing the road, beach across the street. The balcony was huge on these end units. No units have much of a ocean view,as the Rockley Park trees hide the view.Traffic out front was busy but we didn't hear any noise while sleeping. Comfortable furnishings. AC units are built into the ceilings, quiet and they will freeze you out if so desired. Great walk in shower.Fairly consistent and strong wifi. The exercise room will not motivate you... For those that may want to cook in their room,a non stick pan would be nice. Its not a Hilton or Marriott but we were happy with the resort overall. Breakfast in their restaurant is convenient and very good. Small buffet, with a good variety of choices.($20 each U.S.) A few nice walk to restaurants. (See reviews) The management and staff were some of the nicest and accommodating people I've ever met. Had some difficulty(several requests went unfulfilled) getting towels missing upon check in or replacements after use. A few tips: Get several hundred Barbados Dollars. Some of the better island eating places(unbelievable fish dinners)don't take credit cards. The linen cloth restaurants do,but you will pay 37 bucks for a hamburger and high priced dinners will leave you hungry. Dont rent a car:(just my opinion)we rented a car for seven days($291)... Drove all the way around the island and didn't see hardly anything great . The stress at the airport. The round abouts... The roads will jar you outside the main towns. $ 22 US dollars will get you from the airport to most destinations . Buses and taxis right out the door at the hotel. Site Seeing: Trip advisor (viator)has a nice all day tour with lunch for 89 bucks...No better pricing on the Island. Lastly... Bring pocket size antibacterial gel and pocket size paper towels,etc... Lots of the private beaches and restaurants have no soap or paper products in the bathrooms(unreal, huh?)

The location of the hotel is ideal for shops, restraunt and the bank. The beach is lovey and clean the only problems is that I would have thought the possition of the sun lougers should have been closer to the hotel and the umberella should be free and not have to pay. The gym is not total a gym this is due to the lack of equipment. Breakfast mediocre.

Great location, great staff, great room. Beautiful beach just across the street. Convenient to have breakfast available. Kitchenette in our room would have been useful for longer stays if we wanted to cook, and there’s a Massy grocery store 12-15 minutes walk away. The bar hours and staffing seemed a bit uneven but not a big deal for us. Transportation options galore (taxi, ZR bus, Barbados transport buses) right on the doorstep. Tons of good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Small “strip mall” right next door with coffee shop, 4 or 5 restaurants and convenience store. Our room was nicely up to date like shown in the pictures, super clean, and the air conditioning and other amenities were just fine - about the only thing we thought needed improvement was the level of lighting in the bathroom. We were on the fifth floor and heard virtually zero noise from the street when in the room. When by the pool during the day the sounds from the traffic and people going by actually added to the experience. We visited 3 or 4 other spots of similar price as a comparison and none of them made us say “wow this is nicer than what we got for the money”. Would return and have recommended to friends.

HI, we had a 3 day stay at this hotel, and my first impressions walking in the hotel was that it has a funny smell!! the carpets look out dated and very worn out, the room we had was not very clean, the black hair can be seen on various places in the room also curtains had some red stain ... The windows you cannot open at all, so no chance to ventilate the room at all. Air Con is blowing out so strong and loud air, that its impossible to sleep ,we had to sleep with no air con on , and with no windows open- so it was unpleasantly hot. carpets in the room are sticky and dirty. Also, be careful with charges and I wouldn't be too generous in tips either as we have been charged twice for the same charge and hotel is not responding to our requests with the refund. so now we have to go via credit card company to process the refund. shame on the hotel services and over all disappointed. Thanks
